Put your shoes in mine. S2K or Keep Integra?

Ok I kind of want to upgrade my 97 integra. Its a decent car with decent amount of mods but I'm just tired of all the people trying to race me and cops harassing me. My car is just black and lowered with intake and exhaust. My exhaust isnt loud at all and yes I feel like a high schooler driving the integra still. I have a choice of saving up money and selling the integra to buy a used ap1 s2000 and i seen some go for under $11000 now. What would you guys do? Keep integra and save money for better things or Sell integra and upgrade to a better car. Keep in mind my weekend car is a 350z 5AT though. But I still want the s2k nonetheless!

Wait, wtf

I just remembered you just made the thread about keeping/selling the Z. Its either the Z or the S2000. Its going to be annoying having two two-seaters, neither with much cargo room. you thought it was bad having an Integra and people trying to race you? Not even close to what its going to be like with the S2000. Not sure where you live but honestly I would just sell both and get an excellent condition AP1 or really good AP2. I could live with it as a daily up to a point, not sure about you though.

Swap a K20A2 into a 2002 Civic sedan, and keep the stock exhaust. Problem solved.

EVERYONE tries to provoke me in to racing my slow ass car, one of the top 10 reasons I am seriously considering getting rid of it. Don't think you are going to lose the boy racer image with a S2k, in fact, it will probably get worse.

If you already have a 350Z and don't want the Integra, why not sell the Integra, don't buy anything else, and just drive the 350Z?

I would either stay w/ the 350Z and sell Integra (mod the 350Z)
or just sell the Integra and go for the S2000

I have guys that always want to race me when I'm driving my teg, I just ignore them. Giving them the time of day only fuels their thirst.

Personally, I'd keep the teg only because they aren't that expensive to maintain, parts are pretty easy to find, and there is so much damn information on maintaining them over at team-integra.net.

If you're looking for more performance, get the S2K.

AP1 = F20c

AP2 = F22c

AP2 gets a revband shortened by .5k but more torque.

The Integra is a nice car, but they have been played out for about 6 years now. Return it to stock, make some $$ on the mods and sell it that way. Get the S2K and sell the Z. Pick up an 06 TSX as a daily driver.

I'm not trying to be an ass here, but if you bought a Z for the weekends and it has a slushbox, the S2000 is not for you.

Also note, that the engine is pretty much good to go right out of the box, and bolt on mods RARELY see 300whp without pouring serious amounts of cashola into it. Your best bet, is slapping on a test pipe (Berk Technologies) and being done with it. They come engineered to not set off your CEL. Then save up for some nice wheels +tires and possibly suspension mods. If you want power, and have some money left over from selling the Z (If you do) your best bet are Vortech Superchargers if you're into that sort of thing, or Inline Pro turbo kits.

It really is in all sense of the word, a drivers car. Almost no usable practicality but its an absolute blast to drive, and you'll notice a difference between it and the Z almost immediately..the first being absolutely no torque..

The engines are incredibly reliable as long as you do proper maintenance (FYI these use timing chains not belts)

But as Gilgamesh mentioned, you might want to know what you're getting yourself into...

If its only going to be a weekend car I'd just keep the Z and go supercharged.

FI cures all boredom

PS: If you're truly interested..check out S2ki...they are a wealth of knowledge and some pretty cool doods
