Firstly, congrats on the new car.

I have a question. About 15 years ago two friends of mine were killed in a head-on crash in a 4Runner. They were hit by a guy that fell asleep in a 70s LTD.

Anyway, the driver and the passenger behind the driver were killed.

From that point on I've had serious reservations about 4Runners. Are they more solid now? Back then they seemed pretty "flimsy" for lack of a better word.

That was 15 years ago. Things have changed.

Thanks for showing me that. I couldn't understand how he was killed behind the driver. Now it's pretty obvious that LTD sheared the car in half.

Nice, congrats.

I actually want a 4Runner pretty much just like that, but since wifey also had to approve, we ended up with the little guy, an '07 Rav4, but we got the Limited V6 with that same grey leather interior. Not as much room as the 4Runner but I like it a lot.

Here's a pic of my racing Rav4 (see background) with some slow ass 600hp V8 240Z that I had to show a thing or two at Pocono a month or so ago:

Sweet! I miss my 2003. It looked the same as your except I had Navigation. 4x4 Limited.
