ROFL
So lets sum up this thread; if your special and know someone you can be above the law by handing out "I'm in the club" cards.... Ya, that's really fair.
But it sucks when you actually have to obey the laws like everyone else does....
I'd like to know why you have tint on your car if you know it's illegal, and you know you'll get pulled over? Do you enjoy getting pulled over? NJ doesn't really stay hot long enough to warrant needing tint on your car anyway. And in no way shape or form is it worth the risk increasing your chances of getting pulled over when you've had a beer or two... or on a date... way to work...
Then you complain when you don't get off doing something you absolutely know is illegal; and know you should fix...
Although yes, it does suck getting pulled over 2x in a mile... NO argument there, but it sounds like you must enjoy getting pulled over or drawing the police attention to yourself. If you didn't, you'd take off the tint... cards or no cards the tint is cop magnet...
I'm really missing something here..............

siggy...
I have the TINT for 2 reasons:
1. I work as a Computer Consultant and sometimes have expensive equipment in my car marked "Hp" or "Dell" all over the boxes. That coupled with the fact that I go to jobsites all over NYC that are not in the best neighborhoods. So I don't need someone seeing the boxes and busting out my windows to rob me!
2. IMO, cars look better with the even TINT all the way around. I don't like the look of having the front windows lighter or even not done at all. Like I said though, that my opinion.
And to go back to the original post, I just was venting some built up frustration and looking back, I pretty much deserved what I got. So sorry for causing such and up-roar with the whole "Pba cards", "tints" and "why me"

#2. I think this is the real reason, just don't overlook you're making the statement that you like or want to be pulled over. Having your windows tinted makes you a cop magnet; you know this but you keep them on. IMO it's not worth "the look" for the extra chance you'll get a DUI or anything else that might be wrong with you or the car or your driving....
Good luck with your TINTS

Well there you go. It's ultimately your employer's fault that you got pulled over twice in one mile. There's nothing you could have done to have avoided this.

it's called a sheet, sheets are not illegal if properly thrown over expensive equipment. With tint a thief has to break your window just to see what's inside. You could call window tint wrapping paper for police and thieves alike. It does the opposite of it's intention. Besides looks, but then having a police car behind you isn't really cool looking......ok well it is but

I use a sheet if there is absolutely no other option but ultimately it's like wrapping paper also. The employer should provide their employees with a van if they're having them move around thousands of dollars of computer parts. Leaving valuables unattended in a sedan is negligent, tints or no tints.

i bitch at my gf whenever she leaves her purse in my car when we go somewhere... either under the seat, or in the trunk it goes... i have 20% tint (though a cop once measured it to be 10%) with 50% on the windshield and black interior... but i dont use the tint for security... i use it for blocking the sun out, keeping the car cool(er), protecting my leather, and the look of it doesnt hurt lol.
like i said earlier though, i untinted my car originally when i lived in NJ just for the cop factor, i only retinted when i moved out of state. however, im heading back up there tomorrow, so im going to my eye doctor to see if i can get a medical exemption just so my car can still be driven at home without worrying about tickets.
pba cards never worked for me for tint (im going to guess because im 20 yrs old and i just look like a kid trying to be above the law), i tried once got it taken away + a ticket. i dont get stopped for moving violations so basically i dont have a use for the cards... i have like 6 of them too lol.

If you need to keep people from seeing inside your car then you would need some dark ass limo tint, and that is just begging the cops to pull your ass over. If you need that type of security you should be using another type of vehicle.

Ya know, back seats aren't really meant for transporting cargo. They are shaped to fit humans, and the seat belts are designed to stop humans from hurling into the front or through the windows. Your rationale peels apart like cheap tints.

well my ass is definately well-done....
Few things I learned through this tread:
1. NEVER say "tints" for it is disgracing the English language and all of the professors on this website. (haha)
2. Apparently I am the only one who uses a TL for a DD/work vehicle as being self-employed "the company" can't provide a van because of funds.
3. In all seriousness, I brought the police attention on myself with how my car looks. I have to deal with it or change my car. So thanks for all the tips and giving me a lesson in maturity on this site...I promise you guys will never see a "why me" post from me again!!!

I have received soo much helpful advise and information over the past few months that I don't want to be "that guy" on here who is just completely ignorant and a plain ass, in which case no one wants to lend helpful tips too.
