Public transportation had me down...
...so I bought this!

I moved back to Portland from NYC a couple weeks ago, and, nice as it was for 10 months not having to worry about/pay for cars, continuing that just wasn't going to be realistic given where I live and work now. Started looking around and saw they had 0.9% through BMW Financial, and that one of the larger of our two local dealers actually had a strippy(ish) 2011 135i in inventory.
I figured they'd be more than willing to haggle on price with me since it was a manual transmission car, and of course the end of the month. $500 over invoice and 0.9% for 60 months with nothing down (except title and registration fees.) was the deal I wanted, and that's what I ended up with. No sales tax in Oregon which is SWEET when you go to buy a new car.
Options aren't too crazy. M-sport package, Assist/Bluetooth, Harmon Kardon, heated seats, Titanium silver (pretty retarded they charge extra for metallic colors IMO...) and the no charge value package added black leather and Ipod/USB hookup. It's got the aluminum trim on the inside which I wasn't thrilled with but, meh.
Hopefully this newer N55 engine proves more reliable with the HPFP particularly. That really kept me away from considering the 2008-10 models used or whatever, but I don't think there has been too many to speak of yet, if any.

As for mods, maybe a cat-back exhaust at some point. I'm a fan of leaving the nuts and bolts alone on a nice car these days though and just keeping it clean.
yeah 10 yr /120k miles. not really addressing the issue though since they're still failing. good morning america recently did a story on the bmw fuel pump failures.
Welcome to Bimmerzine, where you can brag on your 1, 3, 5, 6, or 7-series with no fear!
Seriously, that's a nice little car. I'm sure that will be fun to toss around once it's broken in. Congrats!
