Predatorbird's 2017 VW GTI
I like what you've done to the car. The Focus ST is already a sharp looking car stock but these modifications are nice.
I am thinking of trading in my 2010 TL for a Focus ST, due to my frequent trips to Home Depot and Ikea where the practicality of a hatchback would be really helpful.
What is it like going from a large car like the TL to a compact? You used to have a TL, do you ever regret getting a smaller car?
Also how has the reliability been on the Focus so far? What about fuel economy? And is the car easy to work on?

I can answer your questions and give my input, but the Focus ST is very easy to work on, and there are plenty of mods out there for the platform. I'm at 56k miles and I haven't had a single problem, and I'm tuned and heavily modded. My average MPG for the life of the car is also at 27 MPG.

Finally some new updates! I'll start with my personal life first... I've been working for a fire department 70+ miles away for the past fours years and accepted a position with the local fire department in my home town. I just recently finished my seven week orientation and started working my normal 24 hour shifts. It's been so amazing NOT driving that far anymore and saving tons of money in gas, while putting on a fraction of the miles on my car that I was doing before.
I closed on my first house a few weeks ago and got moved in last weekend. This place was such a headache to get, but my lender was finally able to make it happen. My favorite part about it is that I have a two car garage all to myself! I'm so happy to have it parked inside again and I have plenty of room to work on it and store my tools/car parts.
Now for the car update... I decided to take advantage of some Black Friday deals and buy new wheels & tires. The wheels were on sale for buy 3 get 1 free. After waiting three months for the wheels (I don't feel like getting into that story), they finally arrive. I got them mounted earlier this week and threw them on the car. They forgot to send the gasket for the centercaps, they are arriving tomorrow. The wheels are Fifteen52 Turbomacs 18x9 +42 wrapped in Continental Extreme DW 235/40's. I had them powder coated matte gunmetal. I decided to go against the grain with these. People either love them or hate them. I'm not so sure I like how these tires look on these wheels and I'm debating on switching them to my OEM wheels and getting some aggressive 245/40's. Sorry for the cell phone pics, I'll break out the dslr once the centercaps arrive. Enjoy!

Thanks! The wheels have that, "I want to be formal but I'm here to party" kind of look to them.
Thanks man
Thanks! The decals are a little different, but I kinda like how they add a little something to the wheels. I was actually trying to get lime green decals made. The black is a little more subtle.
Please excuse the mess. I'm still unpacking boxes and trying to get organized.

Thank you
The garage was a big selling point for me. The price of this place was too good to pass up.
Thanks man! The car is pretty much done so it's time to mod the house

The gaskets came in for the center caps, so I popped them in this evening. I rushed out to take some pics right as the sun was setting. I lowered the front end another 1/4'' the other day and I'm very happy with how it sits. I'll be taking more this weekend. Enjoy!
