Poll question...Making final decision.
Budget's 32K before taxes, title etc.
What do you purchase???
1. 2005 - 330i Sport/Premium 6mt Sedan (used w/ less than 5 -10K miles)
2. 2005 - Acura TL 6MT w/ Navi
3. 2006 - G35 6MT Sedan
No other entries.
My criteria...Planning on owning it for 5-7 years, possibly more. Must get 20+ MPG or better.
1. The Beemer's in the lead for one reason. It's a "Driver's car", and I love it. Only the one w/ Sport package though. Not your generic base model.
Warranty would get me to 2009, and possibly 2011 if I purchase extended warranty.
Negatives...Stereo's no where near TL. Smaller than TL.
2. The TL has the lead over G35, because it's an Office on the road w/ awesome Navi, and bluetooth. It also gets much better MPG.
Negatives...I see too many of them...they're all the same. Base model is best and only model (w/o Aspec).
3. G35 - love it, reliable, classy looks. New '06 has Bluetooth. Great driver, power, and presence.
Negatives...G35Driver.com members upset about MPG. Many get sub 20mpg. That won't do. Also, clutch and shifter not my favorite. I feel the springs etc. every time I shift.
OK, any feedback?
Oh yeah, no Lexus. I drove the new IS 350. Love the luxury, but that is all.

Depends on what you want... RWD or FWD...
The G35 is being redesigned in a couple of years (2007??) so you might not want to get the last year before a redesign...
TL is a good bang for the buck...

It's a tough call for me. I'm really indecisive when spending 30k.

Already got the price. I have VPP w/ Infiniti, or I can get it below invoice. They offered me lower than 32k before taxes, title, etc.
Out the door is around 35 for all vehicles.

the G35 is starting to look dated, its not really a fresh design anymore.
the TL is a solid choice and still looks sharp and you could get it new
the 330i would be my choice because it looks amazing and it has that BMW precision feel to it and who cares if its used lightly, you would still be driving an amazing piece of machinery.

That is really good. I mean I got my TSX out the doot for $33. But I dont know how much u putting down and how much ur interest rate is...
I vote for the 330i. Nothing compares to BMW handling if you want a drivers car.
But if you want more luxury and care for interior a lot go for the TL

Bought my 91 Pathfinder SE for around 24K, sold it three years later for 21K. (Height of SUV era). Bought 94 Accord EX for 19K, '00 Max SE for 21K, and an Honda Odyssey for 24K. Haven't broken the 25K barrier yet, and believe me, I've got cold feet.

Drifting
i would also go for the TL.
the G35 sedan is a fun car, but the styling is getting alittle bland. the gas mileage is definitly worse than the other two cars and if your opting for a rear, the 330i is definitly my choice.
but overall i would still choose the TL. being its luxurious, has the 270hp on tap although theres the torque steer, but that you cant really help due to it being fwd, all the little gadgets, and the styling is unique and bold. you say that you see the TL's everywhere, but thats what this forum is here for! just make it look different and mod it out!

The Infiniti is good but if you're keeping it for 5-7 years, your car's gonna look old in 2 or so, when they bust out the new one. The BMW's bodystyle is brand new, i.e. newer longer. Their warranty isn't bad, either. 35k is a great price for that car, and all things considered, it sounds like the car for you.
Good luck man, you're fortunate to be choosing from these 3 excellent cars

I'd say get the Acura for the better tech/looks but at the end of the day, when you fling it around a corner, the front will be stubborn with you and throttle will only make it worse. It handles well, but not when pushed to the limit.
