For some reason, I just can't warm up to the look of CE-28n's, TE-37's, or any other Volk product fitted to German cars. They just look wrong to me.
In fact, I think Japanese wheels look terrific on Japanese cars but really weird on German cars in general. Curious if anyone feels the same way.

Because the already have BBS?
I really think the wheels I like are influenced by the cars I like. 70's and 80's bmw's just look right with the basket weave bbs wheels on them. When I think american cars I think of cragar.

I've seen a 3-series with TE37's. The car was white, and the rims were bronze. Let me tell you, there was nothing wrong looking about it at all. To the contrary, the car looked GORGEOUS.

To answer your question, I think they would look good on German cars if we weren't sick of seeing them on every Japanese cars ever made. They've become almost synonymous with Japanese manufacturers' cars, it's hard to see it on anything else. It's like seeing those stupid Euro plates on a Civic, or drag radials on an E55

I think it's a matter of personal taste all together. M3s and some other german cars can pull it off, others a lot less. Someone around town has a set of TE37s on a E63 and I just don't like it.
This C2S looks good though imo...

You mainly see them on M3s because that's about the only European vehicle Volk markets to.
They also really don't make too many other wheels besides the TE-37 for the German cars. IIRC, even on Mercedes vehicles, none of their wheels are perfect fits.

I love the fact we're seeing more and more German cars rocking Japanese wheels. They look great together. People in Japan started doing this for awhile now, and now practically all the Japanese wheel brands have German spec applications.
Meh, sometimes it looks hot, other times volks on german cars look very silly to me. It depends on the wheel, the fitment and the finish and of course the car itself. You could say that about any wheel on any car though no matter what the country of origin.
all depends on the style picked out for the design of the car (normally they have to be "classier" looking wheels in order to fit well with a German car though)edit: most of those TE's are
personally, i think something more like the CE's would work betteralso to OP, i saw it kinda mention, but you also gotta remember German car's have a "different" set wheel sizing requirements and such in order to fit correctly, which Japanese companies do not seem to make as much (ie: bolt patterns, alot of German car are 5x112, and not 5x114.3, just one reason why you do not see too many crossing over)
