Police Donation decal

have you guys ever donate money and get those decals to put on the back of your car? Do they really help you get out of a ticket?

PBA-Police Benovolent Association-im not sure how you come into posession of them, but it basically says im a law abiding citizen, and card is subject to loss if i violate any laws. I have always gotten them from my dad-cop signs back, and i sign back. I won't use them for anything minor, like tint. I have about 6 or 7. They didn't help my best friend out when she got caught doing 86 in a 65 with a provisional license, but they have always bailed me out

I used to buy into those stickers and never got me out of a ticket, I would still get pulled over for minor offenses.

PBA cards are usless unless you get pulled by a cop that's in that district.
I have friends that have them & they have been useless. One cop even tore it up

I've used them in NJ, PA, DE, and CT, with no problems. Obvi. the cop is going to take it or tear it up if you get caught doing something really stupid.

It all depends on the cop and the offense. Most cops around here honor it, unless you are seriously breaking the law like doing 50+ over the limit.

This is my opinion, there are a lot of haters out there and I think a sticker like this may bring about negativity

I support the TX DPS officer's assoc. and they send me stickers. Only thing is the DPS troopers only really patrol the interstates outside of city limits, which I'm rarely on.

HPD has the 100 Club, which supposedly really does get you out of tickets and the stickers are sort of a status symbol, but no one has ever called me.

Becareful when you contribute. A few years ago I was feeling generous and donated like $25. They did send me the decal but after a few weeks till this day I've been bombarded with phone calls asking me to contribute. I think your name goes on a list and these mofos will call u non-stop.

My brother in-laws a cop and says the decals won't help if he pulls you over..only the PBA card will and it has to be signed.

You have to know a police officer and he has to give it to you and sign the back. Anything you do wrong and they let you go, they call the officer on the card and inform him of how you are abusing the card. I gotta get a new one mine is from 2005 that a friend of a cop gave me and I can never remember his freakin name.

I have PBA cards from 2001-2006 from various cops, and I can't ever remember who gave it to me. I got asked one time, and admitted I couldn't remember. The cop apperciated my honesty

My dad just hands them to me-i don't even look at the name on the back, just sign and stick into my wallet. My 2006 one is from one of my good friend's dads, but idk his name or anything, just Mr. _______.

Not Really Kid. Minor traffic infractions, sure... Anything more than that would at LEAST get your card and "mini shield" taken away on the spot and a cell phone call to whoever you "know" right on the spot.

Also, not ALL cops honor them. They have to be in the proper mood and you have to give them the answers they want to hear. The card also has to be presented "Properly" and don't be cocky about it waving it in their face and all.

Bottom line is that NOTHING is a guarantee out of a ticket.

FYI

PBA Cards are more of a north east thing. Mainly NY, NJ, CT, Some PA and some MA. Other than that the rest of the country has no idea what they are. Not even most cops in other states, especially down south and midwest. They all have FOP cards, stickers, etc...
