Pisses me off . . . .
It's still strange that the give the engines differing power outputs simply because of the difference in transmission. That has nothing to do with effecting the actual output. I wonder what the reasoning at Nissan is behind this. Then again, I should know better than trying to use the words "reasoning" and "Nissan" in the same sentence.
It would piss me off BUT the 06 M35x which I'm leaning heavily towards, does not have a ventilated passenger seat while the 07 does since I won't ever be sittin' over there.
So what else pisses you guys off? (Besides Water-S)

I'm fine, just can't seem to write a coherent sentence. I'd rather have nearly 20 more horses and a 6 spd in the M35x I'm looking at but ain't gonna happen. I'll have to resolve myself to the fact that in order to make quick getaways I'll have to be in the Z instead.

Friday morning pissed off thread . . . .The only difference with '07 is the 10-way power for both seats, whereas the '06 only had 6-way passenger.

The difference is that the 2006 350Z and 2006 G35c use a updated version of the 3.5 L VQ. It is a different engine entirely. The 300/298hp versions are the "rev-up" engine that has a few internal modifications, but the biggest is that it has a 7000rpm redline versus 6500 in the older version. It gained ~18hp, but it lost ~15lb/ft of torque.
A higher reving engine like the rev-up VQ makes more sense in a sports car versus the version used in the M35 which produces more torque and is more befitting a luxury car.
You aren't missing anything as the loss of torque in the 300hp VQ makes it feel little to no faster than the 280hp version.

Here are a few examples of the changes in the 298hp(G35c) / 300hp (Z) VQ versus the 280hp(M35) / 287hp(Z) VQ:
- Camshaft profile modifiactions
- Stronger valve springs
- Variable exhaust-valve timing
- Upgraded & forged pistons, rods, and crank pulley

I wonder does the declined sales of TL have anything to do with the new SAE numbers.
