The colors that we are used to for some brands oringinate out of the national racing colors...

Germany = Silver (actually started out as aluminum... germans thought the paint just added weight... totally German thinking there)

Italy = Red (Although Bugatti used blue)

French = Blue

England = British Racing Green, or also known as Moss Green

And interesting enough, Japan has a national racing color... white.
