I pulled it off Ernies gates thread. This is by far the most beautiful car ever to touch pavement. I saw one race a couple years ago at Limerock and it was amazing.

great, look what you did. AD is pooping his pants in the corner now. can't you just let the guy think he's right for once in his life? garrr, no respect.

Cars as Art is an interesting theory, and it's one that I definitely subscribe to. Some people buy paintings, others buy cars
Cars with long hoods have always interested me... Red Sportscars are even better...
Sometimes I find, that I'm interested in cars not for the HP they posess, but just for the styling. Early Porsche 911's (and 912's) have always facinated me, more for the curves and bug like headllights, then for the 100 and something horses under the hood.
The color of automobiles is another interesting thing. When I think of Ferrari, I think Red. Jaguar or MGB, British Racing Green, Porsche, Silver (or Speed Yellow)...
I really like "period colors" on cars. Colors that you don't see today... Yellows, Tangerine, etc...

That thing may not be as fast as the modern day Ferrari, but damn whoever drives that exudes much more class and style than some yuppie in a 360 Modena.
Easily the most beautiful car ever built

Nah, that was the 1961 Ferrari 250GT SWB.........California (OHHHH, YEAH!!) This looks like an earlier 250GTO.
I like this one a lot better....
I am partial to the Toyota 2000GT though.
BTW- Greenie, "art" with Porsche 914's?? eeeeywww........

but if you right click on the picture, you notice it's named "Period_Colors_Circle.jpg"... I posted the pic for the colors, and not the actual cars

I'd remove the fog lights on the Ferrari, and the horsie decal on the side. But I guess its a problem I'll never have to face in my lifetime.
I personally think the 360 is one of the best looking ferrari's ever made. It has unique lines that I haven't seen on another car. I like the 355 too, but it is not as "outrageous" looking as the 360. I think it will most definitely reach classic status one day. I don't think whether it is mass produced or not will matter as to whether it is considered a classic. It may bring the cost of one in say 20 years down compared to a car that is more rare, but it will still be a classic. Heck, how many 68 or 69 Camaro's were built, yet they are considered classics.
