picked up a new ride yesterday.....

After nearly 7 years with my cl-s it was time to for a change. Have been looking at this car for nearly a month and finally sealed the deal yesterday. Drove out to Chicago to pick it up and drop of my CL-S.

2006 BMW M5, SMG, Silver Gray/Blk/Aluminum 19k Miles

I have a few pics I took with my phone, do they need to be hosted? I cant figure out how to load them in to this thread from my computer.

That's a serious upgrade. Nice.

BlueAc: you're doing it the right way.

I think NeuronBob should meet darrinb halfway and have a CTS-V vs M5 runoff.

The depreciation has been horrid for the E60 M5. Some high mileage 05s are even under 30k.

But in any event, congratulations to the OP! If you haven't done so; check out m5board.com there is a ton of useful information there.

the e60 model started in 2006, you can get one for low 40's w/ high mileage. I opted to pay more to find one with lower mileage/great condition.

this thing was hardly driven, interior is in mint condition. exterior is flawless besides a couple minor chips(cant complain its not brand new)

Nothing a trip to the shop of Dinan won't cure. At least for more HP.

Car is a total different animal with the M button on, shifts harder, tightens suspension, and most importantly unleashes all of the cars 500+ hp!!

That is my mistake. The E60 was introduced in 2005 in NA, it was marketed as a 2006 which is why I had that year in my head.

However, I agree and commend you that you paid more to get a mint condition model as I paid more than average myself for my previous M5. In all cases; enjoy and drive her hard; came across an 07 model about a year ago and almost got one.

Post more pictures and let us know.
