dude i got a S3 too! havent started using it yet, but the features look awesome.
And the last time i went to do some work for Ferrari of Houston, they had 2-3 of those cars there. Apparently they're extremely rare.
The shop manager told me something about the car that made it super light, i think it was all carbon fiber body?

This week I saw a convo of 3 lambos drive past me. The lead car was a yellow murcielago, the second was a black diablo sv and the 3rd was a white countach. Talk about a sick convo. I didn't get a pic tho.
I usually don't take pics of exotics, but this car stumped me as I was not sure what it was. This intriqued me more than seeing the typical ferrari and lambos so I took a closer look. Wish I took a side pic also.
It is a Qvale Mangusta. Supposedly they only sold 200 last year so it is very rare, even if not an exotic. It retails for 70,000.
Here is some onfo on the car.
"From 1966 to 1972, Alejandro de Tomaso (an Argentine Formula 1 car builder and racer) had 310 Mangusta coupes built with the de Tomaso name on their tails and Ford Motor (nyse: F - news - people ) 4.7-liter V-8s under their hoods. These cars were able to top 155 miles per hour and found a very limited U.S. fan club. The Mangusta eventually became the Pantera, and that car faded from the scene in the mid-1970s. In 1996, however, de Tomaso revived the brand with the car you see here. After some feuding, de Tomaso agreed to drop his name from the cars themselves, and the Qvale family of San Francisco (a one-time importer of the original Mangustas) agreed to build the cars in Modena, Italy, and sell them in the U.S.
All that said, a Mangusta isn't a 100% Italian exotic. Yes, the body is made in Modena, just like Ferraris, Maseratis and Lamborghinis, and it was penned by the same man--Marcello Gandini--who sculpted the Lamborghini Countach. But at the heart of a Qvale is a Ford-built 320-horsepower Cobra motor and fuel system (as well as a few ancillary Ford bits like gauges and switches).
So does an Italian body and a Detroit motor add up to a car that can eat Porsches on the highway but be serviced at Jiffy Lube? Not exactly. The better question to ask: Is this car worth $70K? "

thanks, yeah agreed man, he said you can get one of those with around 30k miles for around $40k right now. not bad at all. I also asked him about maintenance, basically the things are like tanks, not much you need to do aside from normal wear and tear. Brake rotors are reasonable, around $300 for a set. Probably the biggest negative is the fuel economy. Secondly would probably be tires. But seriously, we are talking about a Viper GTS, which I think is the top American muscle car! I kind of want one. Such a thrilling drive, I mean it's like the kind of feeling where you become absent-minded about everything and lose track of time and space.... just kind of zoned out in a black hole.... awestruck by the sound......

If I could have a Viper GTS in my garage by the time I'm 40, I would be a happy man. I think that's realistic
