Philly Auto Show
Philly Auto Show
Went on Saturday evening...some impressions:
The Enzo was crazy looking, but you couldn't get too close.
No Carrera GT, which would have been cool because it'd be right next to the Enzo and a nice comparison.
300C looked somewhat odd, and that front end is really big in person. I can't imagine anyone getting the base engine in this car.
Ford GT looked like it had some very suspect build quality, but maybe that was just me.
New interior of the 2005 Corvette was nice, but I still like the look of the current version outside.
Mercedes has a nice spread, but you couldn't get in many of them (s'okay, got to drive an SL 500 convertible for a week last year).
Cars I found out I don't fit in: Crossfire, S2000, Mini, maybe the Vette, G35C/350Z. This last one is a bit subjective, but it made me happy to get back outside and into my CLS.
Overall, a fairly bland show, without very many show-stoppers or radical concepts. Mainly a buyer's paradise of normal cars.
Anyone else have an positive or negative thoughts on the show??

I went a few times, a few years back...they aren't too exciting. Had more fun at the terminal market...
Now, if we could get a SEMA show close enough, that'd be awesome.
