People who LEASE...
Can you tell me what type of car you have, how much you pay a month, how many months, how many miles, and how much if any you put down?
Just curious to get a feel of what prices people pay for different price range of cars...
Thanks! Trying to see what kinda of car is obtainable in the future if I were to lease after college.

Nothing current. I leased my 02 auto $500 down, $399/month, 15K miles/year. Got the same deal on my 03 lease. Sold both & bought my current 6MT CLS.
Lease rates in FL are actually very good across the board.

If you are looking at leasing just cause that means that you can afford more for the same price-you are looking at it for the wrong reason. You should lease becuase you want a new car every x number of months.
To keep on topic-
2007 TL-S
36 months/12k miles a year
$450 down, $450 a month

Leasing is no longer a tool to live beyond your means. That's OLD thinking.
Today's used car market & resale is crap. Dealers make more $ leasing then financing in today's market. There's tons of new product every 3-4 years as well.
It makes more sense in many families to lease instead of buying.

My thoughts on leasing:
The best scenario is when you have a car allowance from work or own a business that you can use to lease the car. In general this allows you to not pay income taxes on the payment, which in most cases is enough of a savings to overide any concerns about the difference in finance terms between leasing and buying.
Here is brizey's trick to leasing: you must be prepared to do the right thing at the end of the lease!!!
-If the car is worth more than the buyout, you must buy the car. Dealers make gobs of money by doofuses (doofi?) that turn a car in that they have already partially paid for.
-On the other hand, even if you like a car, you cannot buy a car that costs you more for the buyout than you can buy the car on the open market (which is a bit more obvious).

That can give you some idea. Most of the time you can get better rates than those.
Also some may require a lot down which in return makes it a crappy deal.

I just got a 2006 Honda Accord Coupe, so I'm not really in the market now, just curious what can be had for certain prices.

Leasing can be a very good thing, if you know what you're doing.....if you don't. That's typically the people that come back 2-3 years later and say they would never lease again.
Most people don't know the ins and outs of leasing.

Now:
2007 TL-S; ~$425/mo (incl tax); ~$2500 Down/Tags/Reg; 36 Months/12K per year
Previously:
2002 TL-S; ~$375/mo (incl tax); ~$3000 Down/Tags/Reg; 36 Months/12K per year.
Biggest lease mistake: going WAY over your mileage allowance. If you can't stay close to the mileage allowance, find a car you can afford to purchase.
