Pathy got a full detail...
courtesy of a production I just worked on.
Basically, I like my car being dirty, specially after off-roading. Its like some weird badge to wear with pride. You know you own a SUV and you actually use it for what it was built to do.
Anyway, I was working on a movie, and they wanted to use my car in a shot. To my better judgement I said yes. Well, they put my car right next to the lead actress and it was casting a glare. Simple trick is to dull the paint. So, they sprayed it with a dirty looking wet down. I asked the dude prior and he said it would be OK it a soap based spray that should wash right off.
Well, today I finally have the time to get it washed. And low and behold the gunk did not come off. I wasnt very happy. The car wash said it would taking polishing to get rid of the crap. I called one of the producers who was very nice and put me in touch with art dept from the movie. I call the guy who goes "WHAT!!! I specifically told transpo to wash your car immediately."
So, I call the producer again and he says get it detailed and send him the invoice and he will reimburse me. So,
to the producer being very cool and doing right by the situation, and "woot: to getting my car clayed, polished, and waxed.
So, I decided to take some pics while it was so clean...and good excuse to fool around with my new camera.

Lookin' good Sarlacc. It looks like a new truck. Also, nice job on those pics (especially 2 and 9). Hey, a little rattle can matte black spray paint for that front bumper corner will hide that battle scar as well.

gives it character. Though I did purposely not take any pics of the side that got whacked. Some big dents, but no real scratches.

Looks pretty good considering the age of the truck.

Kind of reminds of that cheesy old 90's Toyota commerical:
Narrator: "what was the name of that truck again?"
Some dude hiking in the mountains: "The Pathfinder?"
Anyone remember? They musta played that commerical alot for me to remember it...

I've always like the old Pathfinders. I remember when they and the 4Runners were the ish back in the day. I still like them.
Those pictures bring back memories actually. I knew a drug dealer who had that exact same truck back in the day. He was pretty low key and never put rims on it or his Maxima.
