I just bought a 2003 acura 3.2 cl type s and the only thing wrong with it is when the passenger door is shut the car still thinks it open. I took it to a dealership and they put a brand new switch in the door and that did nothing. does anyone have a step by step process on how to fix it, or even know what the problem might be.

i cant lock the doors with the remote, the bulb had to be taken out of the door, and i cant have the lights to turn on when the doors actually do open. It sucks!!!

 

check the wiring because it might be a wire that's reading as open. it might be in "deeper" than the switch.

 

I just hope that its not goin to cost me a bunch of money to fix. When i bought the car i figured i would have to put about $500-1000 into it so i got the guy to take that much off the asking price and as long as it doesnt cost anymore than that im fine.
