One of my friends bought an 09 SL65 and got an upgraded ecu. Thing is a monster. Brabus front bumper. I fell in love with this one.

Very nice work

I wasn't expecting the dent on the last Accord to come out like that, but I'm definitely impressed.

Yeah, specially when the metal buckles like that, its extremely hard to get it straight with out breaking the paint.

yea i got one on my front passenger quarter panel 1st i started driving my 06tl. was backing up in a tight ass gas station and i heard a crunch came out and checked my rear. didnt see it till a few hours later and was furious. it starts after the front wheel and into the door but paint was actually removed. i asked one guy recently he said he'd paint the quarter panel and the door for $400 in Queens, NY? does that sound accurate to you.

Looks like you can get rid of some paint transfer as well, is that right?
Would it be worth calling a PDR guy if I only wanted to get rid of paint transfer, and not necessarily a dent?

Oh, and nice work

If your looking to remove paint transfer you can usually buff it out. Depends how severe, some times clay bar is enough to take it off. Check out eshine.ca to see if they have sample sizes of compound, if so order some and go at it with a mf towel.

not much can be done about that other than push it out to make it look a little bit smaller. The pellets usually stretch the metal to where its not really fixable any more. and pretty much every time, the damage is bad enough to where it stretches the paint too along with it causing it break and tear off in the center.

The only right way to fix it is to hammer the metal back straight as much as possible, then fill it in and repaint it.

Only now and then, when the damage is light, its fixable 100%

nspec, all the cars you've worked on look great. Do you mind going through the process of pulling out a dent? A DIY, if you will. It'd be great to know what that suction cup/snake/shield thinger does.

That's what I figured as well. I talked to a very respected detailer here in Toronto (Wes_R, he's in the WW section), and he said the paint transfer (on my car at least) had to be wetsanded off.

the best way to take off paint transfer is with thinner. and then buff, if u have some scratches, then wet sand.

Nothing else will work better.

As far as DIY, there is no such thing as DIY for PDR lol.
you need the right tools for it. it took me over 6 months to perfect the art.

You do good work my man... I've been in the auto body repair for past 12 years, but i do it the good ole fashion way, metal work, filler, primer, paint. I would love to learn PDR though, it seems to be a lot less time and effort consuming, and in the end you end up with the factory finish and not a repaint, not to mention all the money that could be saved on the materials over time

I guess DIY was the wrong word, more like the basic process and what all your tools do.

I had Wes do my TL when I had it, he does very good work. But since wet sanding is the most abrasive why not start with the least and work up to it. Might turn out to be not necessary.

My Wife wound up dropping a Little Giant ladder on my TL this week. Below are the before and after shots of my very possitive PDR experience using The Ding Doctor in San Diego. Mike was great and I highly recommend him for your San Diego Ding repair needs: 858.674.4500 (www.dingdoctor.net)
