Did a couple small things yesterday, haven't had a lot of time to work on the truck since my dog is sick, but there were a few details that I wanted to address. The first was that my intake filter was installed upside down. I actually noticed it when I posted my pictures on here.
The original pic
After:
It also bothered me that the metal seam was showing
Before:
After: Performance-wise it really shouldn't have mattered, but OCDwise it had to be dealt with lol
The other issue that I had to deal with was the hose clamps, the one near the TB was catching on the bolts and wouldn't allow me to turn it down to allow the engine trim cover to sit flush, here you can see it was tilted up slightly
Before:
After:
I had to remove the entire intake tube and remount all the clips, but it was worth getting it all buttoned down and finished properly.
I also cleaned the engine cover since I didn't get to do that last go round. Here it is all reinstalled and sitting flush, both mounts snapped in as they should
I also transferred my recovery shackles to a molle pouch
I also added some sandwich baggies and ponchos for when I go to outdoor concerts, figured it would be handy to have a set of those in the back at all times rather than having to remember to throw them in the car every time.
Got the molle pouch mounted up on the panel, the other one I tucked into a storage pocket on the side for now until I can move more stuff around
The last little mod that I did was removed the don't rear end me harpoon, I had some foam shoved in to try and keep it from rattling, however it kept popping out and not staying put, so I removed that and wrapped some electrical tape around the hitch piece and the hitch pin lock to prevent any rattles, the only time I would hear it was backing out of the driveway in the morning, but you know that it bothered me so I dealt with it. Here's the before with the crappy foam piece lol.

my OCD says you should put the filter bolts on the underside. they will be harder to access but it will look cleaner.
