Yeah, she didn't really care whether or not she got the sport package, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

2000 Infiniti G20t. And before that, a Nissan Maxima with 285,000 miles back when she was 16! I don't think she'll ever drive anything else.
The G20t was an AWESOME little car that was actually kinda cool lookin and got great gas mileage. Unfortunately, she lived on a busy street at the time and someone plowed into the back of it as it was parked in front of her house one Valentine's night.

Straight-up!?

To be honest, we could have afforded to buy a Cayenne or a late model Range Rover, but I doubt we could afford to own either one.
I don't anticipate many problems with the FX. :knockonwood:

...one of the other docs at our practice has had one for almost a year... hers has only been in the shop once other than for normal stuff... when she bumped her front end into something...

I've been playing with it a bit.

If you are going to mod it you can find plenty of info @ infinitiscene.com
Looks good from what I can see.
Since it's not mine, it will stay fairly stock.
It's going in Thursday to get the front windows tinted to match the rear windows.
The stock stereo sucks, so it will get speaker and sub replacements.
I also have smoked vinyl overlays for the rear bumper reflectors and third brake light.

that'll probably be about it...

The dealer just replaced the wheels with all new Pirelli's (which aren't cheap at 20"), fluid flush and fills, new pads at all corners and resurfaced all the rotors.
It doesn't appear to need anything anytime soon, even the wipers are new. I'm pretty sure the dealer lost money after transporting it 300 miles, a detail and a visit from the dent wizard.

...that's great (and complete)...they have you rolling "new" for real... cannot beat that... $ well spent huge!

and 20" tires are a serious grip...

Yeah, you can't go wrong with Nissan/Infinity for reliability. Seems she always had nice cars. The G20 was the shit back in the day, so much luxury for a little car.

When it's time for you to upgrade to a new(er) car you should looking into a 07-08 TL-S, but as you said the S2k, and CL-S together is the cheaper option. That works well. Save up a lil more and pick up an NSX

I think you're better off with the FX than the Range Rover. If I upgrade my job I would look at getting an FX to replace the Pathfinder. Right now with the 6-10 miles a day my wife drives it, I think we can get a lot more years out of it.

ppff... If my wife only drove 6-10 miles a day, she would not be driving an FX either!

Stick with the Pathfinder while you can, at 5,000 or less miles a year, it'll last forever.

That's pretty much my feeling on it. We never even take it out on the weekends anymore. I would only consider replacing it if we move, I get a higher paying job, or it falls apart.

Congrats!
I definitely wouldn't have gotten an SUV, but if I did, the FX is my favorite Infiniti SUV, so good job!

I like the color too!

Yup, Uptown baby!
CL is still running like a top at 145k miles. I'm just hoping the tranny that was replaced at 110k miles will hold up another 18 months or so...

If I was 18, not married, didn't have a dog, didn't plan on having kids soon, didn't live through MN winters and didn't own a home that requires weekly trips to Home Depot - I definitely wouldn't have gotten an SUV either!
But alas, I am all of those things, so an SUV kinda fits the bill at this point.
