Dear God! I move halfway across the country to get away from Omaha and that shit just keeps coming up everywhere. Although that weekly show was a halfway decent gig sometimes.

Three and a half years. It's just amusing because everywhere I looked suddenly there was Omaha. I just had a bunch of ex-girlfriends from Omaha contact me, I bumped into someone down here from Omaha. There was that world of wheels thread a while back. It's just weird... all in like the last month. It's not like Omaha is a big city or anything so I find it strange to be coming up so much.

 

Maybe you missed the headlines. We hit 1,000,000 people in the Metro. 450,000 in Omaha. Not that big, but just big enough.

 

Finally broke a mil eh. Yeah seemed like Omaha did everything cool after I left. Qwest center, finally a good straight club (Nico), not hating on the Max, its a cool club, but I never felt comfortable hitting on girls there, Dodge Street overpass, that outdoor mall out west...although that mall out west doesn't have any male shopping. Not the last time I was there anyway.

Trouble is it's pretty hard to compare job availability. Phoenix is just booming and when I left Omaha, the IT market there was just blah. I hear its still not great, but sometimes I wonder. I have some Java friends there doing pretty close to what I'm doing here in Phoenix...although I'm working on fixing that, lol.
