Oh yeah thats right.....another motorcycle thread!

Ok I have no idea what bike I should get, there are so many out there. Basically I want a cruiser, it has to be around $4,000 or below and it's gotta be powerful enough that I won't want to turn around and sell it in a couple of months for something bigger.

I took the MSF course and got my license now I just need a bike, so help a fellow A-CLer out!

Honda Shadow or Yamaha V Star.
Don't buy less than 650 cc...you will regret it later.
Make sure it has a 5 speed tranny.

true only for a V twin(like the ones he mentioned). but 600cc is plenty for an inline four

If I were to start all over again, I'd buy a sport standard. something naked. I miss my monster, and my Hawk. I'd look for a late model bandit 600 or something similar.

That IS a realy nice bike Kevin but I'm looking for something else

I found a 02 honda shadow 750 but its $4800 and I think I want something cheaper - I did find a 99 Vulcan 750 at the local harley dealership for $2999, I think that might be somehting good to start at and it keeps my monthly payment down so i can afford that and my car paymen
