OH NOES! I got a ticket, help me out!
Oh my god!!! I got a ticket... I hate cops!
jk,
I did get pulled over on the way back home from work. I had no idea why he pulled me over for because I know I didn't do anything wrong. He pulled me over because he THOUGHT that I was on the phone talking while I was driving. Well, I wasn't on the phone.
This is how our convo. went...
me: How you doing officer?
officer: How you doing sir? Do you know why I pulled you over for?
me: No, I don't know sir. I have no clue why you pulled me for.
officer: I pulled you over because you were on your cell phone.
*thinking myself*
wtf??!!?? Where did this come from?
me: No. I was not on the phone while I was driving. I'm telling you the truth sir.
officer: Can I see some id and registration.
me: Officer, I was NOT on the phone.
officer: just give your registration and your license.
*I gave him my license*
me: Sir, I was NOT on the phone.
officer: Can you approve that you weren't on the phone? Show me your call history.
*I pulled my phone out of my pocket and showed him my call history*
me: As you can see, my last phone was made few hours ago.
officer: I can give you a ticket right now, but I won't today. I will let you go... have a good friday and stay off your phone.
me: thanks!
*thinking myself*
You know I was right! give me a ticket? yeah fucking right....
I did had my hand up against my head, and that might of him thinking that I was on the phone... I started cracking up soon as he left.
PEOPLE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU DON'T EVER PULL YOUR HAND UP AGAINST YOUR HEAD!!! THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU!

CL in lawnmower status
that was in response to the cop in the story
it's gonna be hard for them to enforce all these newer laws... good thing we don't have any of those here yet

Where was this? Seattle or Glendale?
I was in Seattle a few weeks ago and it seems like every Volvo XC90 is piloted by a soccer mom with a death wish, all were on phones

Evil Mazda Driver
I read the title before I saw your name. I was so looking forward to a post that read something like this:
"OMG I don't believe it. So I was driving home and I was going like 95 in a 40 and this dick head cop pulls me over and gives me a ticket for speeding. WTF? Fucking cops, how do I make this go away?"
You disappoint me.

Off roading in his
iTrader: (6)
This happened to me a few years back, the officers pulled me over. As I asked why I was pulled over, I was told "I saw you talking on your phone." I tried to show him the call log, he refused to look at it, told me "it don't matter" and went back to his cruiser and wrote out 3 tickets (2 tint (my tint was 15% at that time - yes illegal and deserved ticket) and cell phone).
I contested the cell phone ticket, went to court, the officer said that he saw me talk on the cell, and when he approached the vehicle he didn't observe me wearing a handsfree set. I explained to the judge that I wasnt talking on the phone and I have a cell phone bill to prove it, the judge just said guilty and I had to pay the ticket....So much for the NY City justice system

I feel strongly both ways
I would have written a letter of complaint to the adminstrative judge of the court complaining about the matter. That's completely unacceptable.

The judge just figures the fine is small enough that you'll take it and have to enjoy it, since its not worth your time fighting it.
That corruption like that exists in NY doesnt surprise me. Read about Tammany Hall from 150 years ago.. not much has changed in NY.

Are you kidding me??? You had a call log to prove your point, you took the time to go to court and the POS admistrative judge still found you guilty? Assuming that this was the only cell phone account you had in your name (and could prove that) that's an outrage!!!

Lol Tony!
Next time ask him to pull out his phone and show you his call history. I bet you he made some calls when he was driving. You should ticket him
