if you are gonna spend $$ to do a project like that, it should be done on a V8... not a weak ass V6.

Aside from both being classified as road-legal automobiles, the only thing in common between a Nissan Sentra and a Ferrari F40 is… well, nothing acutally.

As far as the purpose for which they were built, the two nameplates couldn’t be more different, which is why this Ferrari F40 replica being sold on Craigslist looks as sad as it does. In fact, ‘sad’ doesn’t even come close to describing this atrocity, but anyway…

The ad doesn’t specify much aside from the $5,800 asking price, and the fact that the donor car was a 1990 Nissan Sentra, a run-of-the-mill budget-friendly car that’s now in its 7th generation.

On the other hand, the Ferrari F40 is a mid-engine supercar built in the late 80’s as a direct successor to the 288 GTO. It was famously the last Ferrari model to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari himself. It had almost five times as much horsepower as a 1990 Sentra, and could hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in roughly 4.7 seconds.

Even in the world of replicas, where you don’t expect things to be exactly as the real thing, this one is an abomination. The design of the body kit is terrible and the proportions are totally off; as for fit and finish… just check out the gallery below for yourselves.
Proceed at your own risk.....

Saw this bad boy on the way to work. Luckily the spoiler kept him stuck to the road because he was about to go airborne.

I dont know where this belongs... but it is WTF and car related

Plenty of people have probably thought about it, and one driver in the Bay Area decided to do it: use a dummy to get in the carpool lane.

The California Highway Patrol was not fooled and not amused.

The CHP posted a photo on Twitter, along with the driver's supposed excuse. The driver is accused of claiming that the doll is of the Marvel character "Venom" and there was no place else to put it.

The agency tweeted, "DUMMY PASSENGER;CAN'T FOOL US. Shame on you" and gave the driver a $400 ticket.

I've seen it here in Houston too.
Actually talked to a lady with a mannequin in her back seat. Said she had it so she looked like she wasn't alone in the car, I guess to muggers/carjackers .

I’d be more worried about the toe being out on the rear wheel. He will go through 40 tires before the wood starts to fall apart

Took this at the mall over the weekend. other than the home made diffuser. everything else was quality products.

Yes the fender was flared, i could not tell if they stretched it or they added them on.

I only knew there was hellaflush... i guess the Royal flush is the next step up.

https://www.autoblog.com/2018/10/17/...iano-autobahn/

Overloaded cars get caught regularly by traffic police — there's just so much you can cram inside a car or attach on top of it safely, especially if you've misjudged the carrying capability of your car during a trip to IKEA.

This Mercedes-Benz wagon, which was pulled over on the Autobahn near Stuttgart on Saturday morning, was pretty easy for police to notice: Not only did the roof rack have several sets of tires and some bicycles on it, making the Benz quite a tall ride, but it also had a bike rack mounted on the tow bar, and on that bike rack teetered a piano. Topping it off was an office chair, as we can see from the photo released by the police and reported by the newspaper Die Welt.

The police put the S202-generation Benz on a scale, and the result was telling: the car was overloaded by nearly 900 pounds over its rated payload. Not to mention the items were precariously attached and posed a risk to other drivers like the Florida plywood guillotine we reported this week.

The 46-year-old piano-transporting man got off cheap with a 95-euro fine ($110).

Saw an Escalade on my way to work this morning that apparently has a Benz supercharger installed on it.

This Acura Integra Has a Twin-Turbo V8 and Drives "Horrendously"

https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cul...a-v8-for-sale/

All of which begs the question: Are you the kind of hero who would willingly strap into a seat mounted mere inches in front of a throbbing 8.2-liter twin-turbo V8, sitting on a 40-year-old subframe welded in place by a fabricator of unknown skill and sanity?

Carbon monoxide death-box? Or V8 sauna? Looks like no firewall or any separation between the driver & engine.

https://www.motor1.com/news/274739/1...tte-four-door/

Do not attempt to adjust screen settings on your mobile device or PC monitor. What you are seeing is real, and depending on how you feel about custom creations such as this, that could be a good thing or the stuff of nightmares. In either case, NBS Auto Showroom in Milpitas, California can set you up with all the details on this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette four-door and how to buy it, if you’re so inclined. Presumably, the sales team will also have some logic behind its asking price of – wait for it – $217,203. Mind you, that’s not an even $217,200, but $217,200 and three extra dollars. Or to put it another way, it's nearly double the cost of a new Corvette ZR1. Then again, you can’t take three friends for a ride in a ZR1.

We do know some stuff about this very curious Corvette. The ad says it’s factory original, but some Google research tells us it was built back in the late 1970s by a Pasadena-based company called California Custom Coach. Super Chevy actually has a good article that covers this crazy four-door Corvette plan, but for our purposes, know that only six were built and this red example could be one of only two left.

Each car was made by basically fusing two Corvettes together – T-tops and all – with the rear glass opening to make this a five-door hatchback sports car 30 years before the Porsche Panamera was born. This particular car is reported as having just 20,000 miles, though a photo of the odometer actually shows 21,006 miles. It’s very red inside and out, and actually, the rear bucket seats don’t look that uncomfortable. The sales description doesn't offer much else in the way of details, save for the standard-issue, used-car terms like excellent condition, fully loaded, and so forth. It’s listed as having paperwork available, and that it’s completely original. In this case, that would mean a 5.7-liter V8 connected to a four-speed automatic, making roughly 200 horsepower.

In our search for more information on this four-door Corvette, we came upon several reports going as far back as 2010 of an identical looking car for sale on eBay as well as Craigslist, with an asking price upwards of $300,000. There’s certainly no denying its rarity, but if this is the same car still in the hand of the same owner, perhaps a serious reevaluation is in order.
