But it'd make a little more sense if the new Beetles were actually still rear-engined ....

That actually looks cool to me. Makes me wonder how the front looks. They even put the rock guards on the fenders, and the plate says "9 11" Aspirational, much?

I love that exhaust!!

I'd laugh my ass off if I saw that in person... Sometimes nice to see people have fun with their cars

I wish it had that flap on the top like tractors have. That would be too funny.

Oh wow. So true. I always used to separate the wheels from the frame. Typical kindergarten car.

Is that what you're seeing?

I thought he was drawing that rickety hoopty carbon monoxide asphyxiating them until they passed out so he could do a grab and go.

But I guess I can see your thing. Maybe.

I was thinking it looks like he was already planning how to dispose of the bodies for his future as a serial killer...

That's not my drawing BTW. Just googled kids car drawings cause I knew there'd be a ton like the ones I used to draw - the body somehow suspended above the wheels. No wheel wells or axles or suspension or any of that bothersome stuff.

It looks well put together, but quite odd. Like mentioned in the other thread, similar shape to the C7 Corvette Shooting Brake/Aerowagon.

Judging by the small exhausts & lack of the faux scoop in front of the hood, I'm guessing V6; LS or 1LT sans RS package.

I think Jalop had a link to the guy's build thread. If I recall, it started as a LS and that's a Magnum rear bit, with some work.

I'm glad my eyes weren't playing tricks on me; when I first looked at the picture the rear of the car definitely had a Magnum(esque) look from B pillar rearward and from the belt line and up.
