Stage 1 Audi S5
So I saw a Ruckus with a side car that looked like an old fighter plane with a dog in the side car. It was in Richmond and I would have gone back to grab a pic at the gas pump but my buddy thought I was crazy. Anyone know him?

that looks freaking awesome!

new look for this weekend.
we're having a massive cruise/meet to a show called "scrapin' the coast" in Biloxi MS.
they're actually having a show class for the rucks this year. should be a lot of fun.
still no front whitewall but it should be here by mid next week.
the seat up close. (before it was finished obviously)

im just there for the party.

Just the facts...
I don't come on here much anymore but here is my newest Ruckus I just finished this past week, Only thing I didn't do myself on the bike is was the powdercoating, its a burnt orange metalflake that shines like crazy in the sun.
Quick list of some of the mods:
171cc engine swap
12x8 rear rim with 130/70/12 tire
12x4 front with 100/60/12 tire
Center Shock rear suspension 1000lb spring rate spring
RRGS front end w/ 220mm rotor
KLX 110 yoshimura exhaust cut up and modified to fit the GY6 motor
Got a Chinese LED light bar for the headlight
In CAD i drew up the frame gussets, rear mount, and LED bar bracket
The Footpegs I designed in CAD also and had my buddy who runs a aftermarket Ruckus parts shop take these to his CNC guys and made a bunch of sets to sell.
I wanted to do a leather seat like the motorcycle guys do but local leather workers quoted me well over $500 bucks to make a seat so I made on my self with a image I found on google

Has anyone ridden the Ninja 300? I have a CBR250R and would like to upgrade, the Ninja 300 has 50% more power and really thats all I need.
The only thing holding me back is I read conflicting reviews. Some say you can feel the vibes and thats my pet peeve with motorcycles. I dont want to feel those annoying tingles at all in the pegs, bars, anywhere.

If I were buying a new bike today, it'd be a 300.
Used, I'd try to find a late R1100S BMW.

To answer your question about vibes. I can feel them at high rpm at WOT, other than that, I don't have any complaints about vibration to be honest. This bike, while not fast like a supersport, can handle freeway speeds just fine, well above 80mph, which 250cc bikes cannot. It's a good upgrade from a 250cc. If you don't need/want a 600cc bike, it's a good fit. It's light, nimble, performs great, and looks fantastic. I can't tell you how many people have given me compliments about the bike.
Stay tuned for more info, but please read my previous posts about the bike and my experience thus far.

I'm in a time crunch right now, heading out of town for a few days later today and still need to get a lot of work done but I will be posting an updated review next week of my 300 with pics. Got over ~950 miles on the odometer on the bike now and truly am loving it.

Been annoyed at the wind blast while riding on the freeway for a while now as you guys are already aware. Riding above 65mph was just uncomfortable. I never felt unsafe, it was just down right uncomfortable. I found myself having to half tuck or go full tuck in some situations just to get around the issue which also led to being uncomfortable since the 300 isn't really centered around riding in a tucked position unlike super sports.
So my fix for it was to upgrade to a Kawasaki Touring Windshield. Ordered it about 2 weeks ago, finally got it yesterday and installed it last night. Took about 10 minutes to install and then went for a ride. Boy what a difference! I can now ride well above 80mph without any issues regarding wind blast and I don't even have to tuck. I can jut sit comfortable in a full upright position. Well worth the $80 bucks!
My only disappointment is that the instructions that came with the windshield list a gray OEM touring windshield; however, every site, including Kawasaki's, never listed a gray one being available. Had I known a gray one was available, I probably would have ordered that one instead.
