I would never own a Harley but if I ever did by any stretch of the imagination this would have to be the one.

They're actually the same bike. The "Night Rod is just a special edition V. Yeah, I'd take it in silver too.

That V Rod motor was designed by Porche.

Alright so I had to read more on it, and found that saying they designed the motor is a stretch. They namely helped design and develop the liquid cooling aspect of it. The bulk of the motor is designed and built by Harley-Davidson. Harley played up the affiliation as a marketing strategy. BUT that doesn't change the fact that I am more impressed by it now than I was before.

Pretty sweet thread... but I need everyone to do me a favor and keep the chat to a minimum. We already have a Motorcycle chat topic with over 1100 replies and I'd really like to keep this topic separate, but we need to keep it photos...

I was flipping through the channels the other day and I stumbled upon that American Chopper show...they were building this Gears of War 3 trike, and I was mesmerized...this thing was just insane, complete with gatling gun forward facing exhausts ...not the most practical, but damn does it look badass

I have a friend who I ride with who owns the Nightrod Version (All Black). Sweet and quick but it does not do well in the twisties at all. It is a tad faster than my Victory...but I smoke him in the curves. We both have been riding since we were kids. I have had two harleys and numerous Japanese bikes and I must say...after buying this victory i think the only other bike I would put in my garage is a Ducati. Keep the Victory for cruising...and the Ducati for kickin' ass.

The 998 will forever be one of my dream bikes. Even though it isn't fast by todays standards nor is it anywhere near reliable. I loved the design and always will.
