Come on up! Highs later this week are in the low to mid 60's and high 50's. The S LOVES that weather and so do I. Makes it so that I don't turn into a sweaty mess sitting in the sweltering heat with the top down. Instead, I just roll the windows up and cruise along in peace.

This thread makes me miss my old s2000 . I will forever have a soft spot for them. I would get another but looks like prices have not budged in years.

No, they're either standing firm or rising...crazy.
Especially for a clean one.

Prices are lower right now because of winter but they'll shoot right back up again starting in the spring. Though I don't see the price rise train continuing for too much longer because there are lots of other performance cars on the market now.

That's the same case with the 1G NSX. PLENTY of other options out there. That hasn't caused prices to stop climbing even for a second.

As the car ages, and as long as there is no successor, the value of the s2000 will climb. Because there is no substitution from Honda.

No idea. Nothing is for sure yet, just starting to think about entertaining the thought of moving to something I can drive every day (current front runner is a FoRS) which is really appealing to me. I drove the S for the first time in 3 weeks yesterday because it had been raining hard for two weeks and I was on vacation for a week and I didn't want to sell it anymore. I've seriously put ~1500 miles on it this year. It comes and goes but I'm not making any moves till summer.

Yup, completely agree.

The temp when I woke up this morning was in the low 40's so not much is left of this driving season. I Jeeped it today already because the tires would have been like rocks this morning.

I stored the TSX and am DD'ing the S2000 until flakes fall. Then I'll return to my ultimate sadness.

My tires are fine, BTW. Just don't expect full grip out of them. Kind of like how you'd drive on damp roads. Mindful. But YOLO.

38F tonight

I know but I've never DD'ed the S2k and I don't think any of the PO's ever did either given the fact that it has 45k on it in 12 years. I'd rather Jeep it in the cold than have any code brown moments on the way to work. If I'm not going to drive it like it wants to be driven, I might as well Jeep it.

And yeah, it's getting cold here too. 35F tonight and 36F tomorrow. Getting dangerously close to frost warning.

Mine has averaged 5250 miles/year.

I like to floor it with cold tyres from a light. It gets massively wiggly and for seconds, I imagine that I am this guy.

last thing I want is for someone to mistake it for a mustang with me powersliding into a curb on cold tires (or tyres?) on a cold day.

I do that too, especially since my stock wheels have econo tires on them so they slippety slide very easily which is le fun.

Oh no no. I wasn't, by any means, promoting imitation of my behaviour. As adults have told me all my life, "why are you like this? I hope nobody else is like you"

If you needed them, I'd probably ship them to you and you cover it...but Canada and the Jizmo is staggered although for a winter set, not sure it would matter.

Naw, JizzMo will be parked soon. It'll be the TL for the next 5-6 months. Problem is I have fairly new winter tires on the OEM 17s. Wouldn't make sense for me to pull the potenzas off my 18s and run two different winter setups.

Started snowing yesterday. Still snowing today. Supposed to snow tomorrow. It's not much snow, but it has begun falling already. I think it'll all melt away by early next week. This is the first thanksgiving I can remember where the weather isn't hovering around 20C. It's around -5 to +3 these days. Next week is supposed to warm up just a few degrees.

But TL's do have more sound abatement.
