A salesguy at my local Honda dealership even stated, "I do not know why someone would get (a Mugen Civic) over an Accord V6 6-speed". Nuff said.
well, it is a collectors item and some people out there are willing to pay much more to own such a vehicle. i have a modified tsx as a dd, but if i had a beater, i'd love to own the mugen civic rr as a weekend/track toy
I think most here would not mind a Civic RR for $30K but not a Mugen Civic (which does handle better than the regular Si but is no quicker and lacks Navi system but costs $7k more).
And honestly, an 03-04 Mustang Cobra is a better way to go as a collector's item in this price range; they will be a common sight at Barrett Jackson circa 2028.

Oh, and I remember seeing a pic (maybe a chop?) of the next Z with next-gen Maxima headlights.
It's more of a track toy, and I suppose it's one of those cars that you have to drive it first to appreciate it.. It's a Civic, but if you think of it as analogous to a Lancer vs a Lancer Evo, then the price might be justified. Basically a Mugen-ized Type R.
but..... nothing something I would spent $30k on, personally

The TL andES350 are great FWD cars for > $30k and it looks like the 09 Maxima will be as well.
