I know I'm a jackass but I just wouldn't own a Ferrari or Lambo. I just don't think I'd ever own a car that is that conspicuous.

Nah man I think about sh't like that all the time. In Japanese culture there's a saying that the nail that sticks out is the one that gets hammered. I frickin picked up a laser printer at Office Max in the P-car, do Sam's Club runs no problem, park in the 15 minute zone at the mall to go to GameStop to trade in PS3 games. No way I'd be doing that in the Italia.

If I had the money and I loved it, I'd get it. I wouldnt care what it makes me look like.

Just like how I want an M3, I dont care if it carries the name that BMW owners are douchebags.

I'm a car guy. People who know me would understand if I bought and drove a supercar. People who don't? I don't care.

What is the difference between a BMW and a porcupine?

The porcupine's prick is on the outside.

Thanks...I just couldn't pass up how they turned out. My car's not in the same league as the vast majority of the ones in this thread, but I thought some enthusiasts might appreciate the results in those photos. The scenery is what really makes those shots anyway.

Everyone's getting rid of the third pedal. Try buying a Lamborghini or Ferrari anymore that has an actual clutch pedal; it's rare.

which is why I find it so curious (and cool) that Porsche would develop and implement a 7MT in the 991...

Yeah, can't argue with the performance with the PDK. I injured my left Achilles executing a flying knee kick in muay thai a few months ago and that really has made daily driving my C2S a chore after the reconstructive surgery, especially putting between 1st and 2nd in stop and go traffic. That pretty much sealed the deal for double clutch auto tranny for my next whip.

My 30-mile commute (each way) on so-called "freeways" sealed the deal for me a few years ago.

Agreed.
If I was to drop $200,000+ on a Lamborghini (or any car really), I'll drive it where ever I want. That's a lot of money to spend on something to just leave in a garage most of the time because you don't want the attention it attracts, which I will never understand. When you buy one of these cars, that's the risk you take; these cars stand out.

It's up to you to either embrace it or ignore it & say, "Haters gonna hate", and tell anyone who suddenly judges you because you show up in an exotic to piss off; they weren't worth knowing anyway.

I drove a new Jerez black E93 M3 with the DCT last weekend at a BMW event, I was impressed with the DCT. I was not impressed with the half dozen settings available, Comfort/Normal/Sport/Sport Plus LOL. So confused.

Yeah my orthopedic surgeon had to sew the entire tendon back together, it had ruptured completely in the middle and was like 2 paint brushes facing one another. I started golfing again a couple weeks ago and hopefully Achilles will be back to normal in a few months so I can resume martial arts.

One of the most depressing things besides being on crutches for 2 months and being in a walking boot for 3 months total was not being able to drive the P-car for 3 months. First time I took her out for a spin it was like I was falling in love all over again.

My patients who've had ruptured Achilles say it's the worst pain they've ever experienced. It seems to happen in basketball most often. After I ruptured mine, I kept holding pads for another 15 minutes at the dojo then drove myself home stopping to get takeout pizza on the way. Once the adrenaline wore off and I couldn't raise my foot, I knew I was f-cked. Had emergent reconstructive surgery within 20 hours. Worst part of the surgery was the f-ckin anesthesiologist ripping my pharynx (throat) when he intubated me. Friday night surgery and he was prolly in a rush because his wife was bitching at him to pick up the kids or something. The surgery itself was successful and I'm healing twice as fast as expected Didn't even need physical therapy which is a good thing since I can save coin for my 991 LOL.

WTF @ ripping your pharynx... is that like grounds for a suit or some other type of compensation? or do you not do that to others of your kind.. I can't stand hearing stories like that. I've had a friend die because of septic poisoning during a needle biopsy, they poked too hard and/or the wrong way and ruptured the intestine. now, there are 5 docs in my immediate family so I understand the flipside of the coin too but still...

Sh-t always goes wrong when the physician becomes the patient. I mentioned it to my orthopod but they were all doing me a favor working into the evening to fix me up instead of making me wait 3 days until Monday. I had to see my Ear-Nose-Throat doc who gave me some antibiotics and it was all good in a couple days. They scoped my pharynx through my nose though so I got to see what the tear looked like on the video screen, huge bloody abscess.

You know what padawan, that's the first time I've ever had surgery in my life aside from getting my wisdom teeth pulled! I'm lucky to have gotten this far in life without sustaining more injury with all the adrenaline junkie sports I pursue (snowboard, surf, muay thai). Muay thai is a violent, contact sport and I know the consquences first hand.
