Because of this & probably other modifications they did, Ferrari won't certify the car & there goes a lot of value. What many suggest they should have done is after the frame was straightened, and they had the engine/tranny work done, was to send it back & let the factory restore it. The car would have been certified & there's no way their customer wouldn't be any less happy.
There's also some other small issues such as a broken lamp over the license plate & what not, but they recently put the car for sale at $1.2 million. In reality, the value is around $300-$400K only because it's still a F40. The average market value is around $400-$500,000.

2 of the biggest issues is that they hammered through the firewall to clear the brake switch, & cutting a motor mount because the engine didn't line up correctly and then re-welding it. This supposedly with the frame being restored to within 1mm.

@ 1.2mil....but you never know some dumb rich guy who owns an oil pump might buy it LOL....and yeah they should have let Ferrari do the rebuild

I'm down for the front splitter and the side skirts too! One front splitter came out today, but I didn't like the way it looked. More will be coming-it's just difficult to remain patient.......
