I don't know if any of the diesels will make it to the US. One other thing to note, the 325i and 330i are not going to be the same engines that can be found in the E46. The 325i will be making 200+ hp and the 330i will be somewhere north of 250hp with rumors of it being somewhere in the 275 range.
EDIT: Just found this which claims the new 330i will put out 258hp.

I presume it remains a 3.0L eng? The site doesn't say but could it have grown to 3.2 perhaps?

I doubt you'll anything other than 325, 330, 425 and 430 (4 series is the coupe) in the US. The overall engine design stays the same as the current one with the same displacement but the HP ratings go up to 215 and 258 (there are changes such as more use of aluminum, magnesium, Valvetronic and bunch of other details).
Both of the current engines are/were probably somewhat under-rated.
Most of the performance will depend on weight - which unfortunately for BMW has always been on the high side.

I am starting to get a little jealous. For a bit more a nicely equpped 325i could have been my future car. But oh well, when my parents were looking into buying they wanted a car at that time, not now. But this will take over the A4 as my favorite "rip-off/sports sedan for 35k" (a4, c-class, 3 series, 9-3). But for that price, one could move up to a TL, G35, or even the new CTS or 300C if they chose to put their hands in the reliability of an American car .

My least favorite is how MB switched their numbering system. Why didn't they just leave it? It was logical. Take the C230 for example. It really doesn't have a 2.3 liter engine. Why not just call it the C180 Kompressor? Or the C240...has a 2.6 liter engine...why not call it the C260?
