I do, I have hankook icebear w300's on the stock 18's, no problems. Sometimes from a dead stop in heavy snow it will spin for a second, but otherwise it's not bad. We did have one massive snowfall like 3 weeks ago and I bottomed out, but that was because I stayed lowered.

the winter is so hard on your car, at least where I live (projectile road salt, car swallowing pot holes, kamikazee minivans), that it just makes sense to have a beater you can use instead. my 02 toyota avalon cost me less than 10k, is amazing in the snow, and is really comfortable...a veritable couch on wheels...lol.

It's a lease, not a dollar rent-a-car. I always take care of my vehicles, leased or financed. I drive the Avalon because it's better in the snow and I don't feel like messing around with changing tires/wheels. I also don't feel like paying another 700$ for a BMW windshield due to rock and salt damage (potholes=crumblingpavement=flying rocks). Who knows, I may want to buy the car at lease end but even if I don't, who wants to drive a battered car around? I'm allowed 15k a year and I'm at about 18k so there is no issue there.

I got a clear bra put on this weekend.
I am having no problems with the icebears in the snow, ice etc.

Now, maybe im crazy (but i have to ask) is it just me or does the suspension feel a smidge bouncy? I know this sounds crazy but i felt like my CLS was more stable on the highway.

BTW, what wheels should i get ? i wanna decide by the end of Feb. I figure i need wheels and some sort of coilover setup.
i can't believe im gonna do this shit...im too old.

i look at this car like my CL-S.
It is a great car (better than I have ever had) but it is not a collector car so might as well use it 's to its fullest and enjoy it. Snow salt ...ehh. It's not like your gonna keep it forever. My CLS still looked good after 100k, no rust, etc. I kept it clean and took care of it...that's it.

The clear bra will take care of the part that annoyed me the most on my old car....the road rash from all the stuff hitting the front bumper and hood.

Although, I dont get your logic. Theres no way you would get $10k worth of salt damage on your 335. I dont see how buying another car is doing any good unless you plan to keep your BMW for 10 years. AS for driving a battered car, isnt that what you doing with the Toyota?

Just saying.

My A4 was daily driven and looked almost brand new the day I sold it. Im kinda glad i didnt baby it.

You're such trouble making cock sucker, but I didn't buy my Avalon soley for winter use. I commute to the city every day, either by train or by car. When I drive, I usually take the Avalon. I had several thousand dollars worth of damage happen to my 335i when I was driving it into the city and I had to fix it per lease rules. If the same thing had happened to my Avalon, I may not have even fixed it. Also, you act like I dumped 10k into thin air; I'll get some money back when I sell it...anyway, if you have any more interest in my finances PM me.

You didn't say anything for me to be 'butt hurt' over either you clown. I think you give yourself too much credit in terms of your ability to get me upset. Yes, I find you annoying, but you really don't get under my skin. As for staying on topic, I'll post whatever comes to my mind in this thread and you will like it.

wow, this thread took a left turn pretty fast.

You like that M3 spoiler? It just looks like a little strip...unless I am thinking of the wrong thing. How would that Vortinser(?) one look painted?

i would like to buy the front spoiler you have the mtech sides and rear with quad exhaust. Just off the top of my head. But i don't want an aftermarket exhaust. Too loud. Are stock ones sounds decent. Can I just put quad-tips on that? Is that cheese?

Tischer is selling it for a decent price. Though I don't know if its worth it for a strip, that's me, everyone has different tastes. Wondering what the Vorsteiner CSL trunk will look like.

Bastuck exhausts are pretty tame, not loud at all. You could do quad-tips I guess on your stock exhaust, it might be cheese for those who know

I've gotten hit with salt when passing those trucks many times, sounds like gravel hitting your car (basically is) and always scares me. My Acura's paint still looks almost brand new even though it is 9 years old.

There are rocks all year, that's why I got a clear bra. Road salt is only bad for paint over 0C if you don't clean it off. I run the car through a coin op and just spray the salt off every few days.
