off the topic.... HAAAATE those fools on bikes.
Another thing is, while I don't own a motorcycle myself, I've ridden one a few times.... and it must suck ass to ride a motorcycle in traffic. Your hand would probably start having spasms after 5 minutes of nonstop stop-and-go. Plus a motorcycle is dead weight when not moving/really slow speeds and you have to keep your feet down, so it would be difficult to constantly be moving at 1-5 MPH.
If some fuck opened the door on me while I was riding I would light his car on fire and maim him on the spot.

I love how all us sportbikers get lumped together.. get over it man.. there dumb ass people in every walk of life. CA is the only state that I know of where it is legal to split lanes. and for the record I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO ASSUME WE ALL RIDE THE SAME

I don't ride cos I don't trust ppl in cars. I've only rode dirtbikes. However think lane-splitting is fine and actually safer than being between a car in front and in back of you. You have more visibility and don't have to worry about getting rear ended by some unattentive asshole in traffic. I always give bikes lots of room when following behind them as well. If I ever see someone try to crash a biker in traffic you better believe I'm writing down their plates and reporting their ass too. My mother used to ride a 76 Harley Sportster lowered with S&S carbs, custom paint, custom exhaust and had to deal with her fair share of assholes on the road before she decided to sell the bike, partially due to that.
There are a handful of retarded responses in this thread. Really guys, shut the fuck up (you know who you are).
In regards to someone opening their door on a biker. As far as I am concerned, that is attempted murder. Honestly I don't know what I would do but I would be tempted to get out and "hold" them until the police could come and arrest them. What a complete stupid fuck it would take to do that.

I dont get why some ppl just hate bikers for no reason. Most of us ride with proper gears and obey traffic law. We keep racing on the track or private mountain route and take safety as seious as possible. Riders are not different, just with a different passion.
this is a write up i found on a bike forum i surf a lot. Inspiring from a fellow rider went down due to cagers cutting him off. Worth reading.

I saw you, hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But, you didn't see me, put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.
I saw you, pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But, you didn't see me, playing Santa at the local mall.
I saw you, change your mind about going into the restaurant.
But, you didn't see me, attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief.
I saw you, roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by. But, you didn't see me, driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.
I saw you, frown at me when I smiled at your children.
But, you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.
I saw you, stare at my long hair. But, you didn't see me, and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.
I saw you, roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves.
But, you didn't see me, and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none.
I saw you, look in fright at my tattoos.
But, you didn't see me, cry as my children where born and have their name written over and in my heart.
I saw you, change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere.
But, you didn't see me, going home to be with my family.
I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be.
But, you didn't see me, when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.
I saw you, yelling at your kids in the car.
But, you didn't see me, pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.
I saw you, reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road. But, you didn't see me, squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.
I saw you, race down the road in the rain.
But, you didn't see me, get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.
I saw you, run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time.
But, you didn't see me, trying to turn right.
I saw you, cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in. But, you didn't see me, leave the road.
I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass.
But, you didn't see me. I wasn't there.
I saw you, go home to your family. But, you didn't see me.
Because, I died that day you cut me off.

I vaguely remember, when I was a little kid on the road to Disneyland I waved at some Hells Angel or some biker gang member. He actually waved back.
Call this a stereotype if you will but most people who bash bikers in general have never ridden one in their entire life. And those that do probably change their entire outlook on the matter. Bikers call people in cars cagers, and I don't blame them at all.
I get it from www.twowheelforum.com
yeah..ppl went down due to irresponsible drivers all the time. Sometims we even had some donation going on to help out the family. I remember there's once a really nice pack leader got ran over by an SUV and left 3 young kids...sad story.
There are good drivers and bad drivers, good riders and bad riders. Respect each other then it'll all be fine.
