That's cool and all but what was the point for him? He paid 90ish for it, never got to enjoy it and while he wants $89,xxx for it, he isn't going to get it.

Well, that was a shitty investment. Only way I would buy it is if I were a museum curator. Otherwise, I'd rather take an NSX with 30,000 miles over this.

He said it was started and moved forwards and backwards a few feet regularly.

The owner had a minty NSX and never drove it?!??!?? Wow, we should all go kick his @$$ just for that.

You buy a nice car, drive it, dammit. Cars are meant to be driven! And special cars like the NSX even more so!

 

Why is this a salvage title? That couldn't be a typo on the owner's part.

It's not even worth half that with a salvage title.

 

The salvage listing had to be a typo. If you look at the history report, its clean.

It's got 49 miles, this car has no history.

Car is located in PA. It could have been flood damaged. There was the big tropical storm that hit the area last year.

 

My curiosity got the best of me so I contacted the seller regarding the salvage title for the car. The sellers response:

 

Gorgeous color combo regardless. And damnit stop selling off the limit number of US NSX that there are here to Hong Kong already.

 

Would be more desirable long term if it was an 05

I guess I'm the oddball....this does nothing for me.

 

Regardless, looks like it's sold for the original MSRP of $89K. If I had a $100k to blow, I would buy it and mod it nicely with some bigger and wider rims, exhaust/headers, CF intake, coilovers, and BBK.

 

If you're going to do all that might as well not buy a pristine model.

And a brand spanking new GT-R territory as well. The purchase of the NSX like this one is not to use it a DD but as a collector car to drive once in a while. Hence, I made the statement earlier about modding it lightly and not alter the integrity of the vehicle too much. Regardless, congrats to whoever the new owner is.

 

For a collector car, modding it at all will diminish the value.

 

Hence, light and simple mods that you can easily undo and go back to stock. But in the mean time, who doesn't appreciate a lowered stance, rimmed up, BBK'ed, and piped up NSX?

 

Oh, I absolutely love modded NSX's, but even reversible mods will turn collectors off.

Mods or no mods, gimme.

I'm pretty sure the guys who bought this has probably that much money under his bed or something. No person in their right mind on a budget would buy it for this much. That said the seller is one lucky mofo
