that unimog doesn't look too badass IMO. the truck posted in the first post has a nice 'don't fuck with me asshole' look to it. aside from the poor gas mileage, if you get hit broadside in that truck pepare to be reduced to ash within a matter of seconds.

I'd settle for a 71-72 Chevy K10, or one of the late 90's (97-98??) Chevy's with a 350 in it...

My wife's father imports and sells Uni-Mogs. Those things are the balls. He has some older ones that are like 18-speed trucks. He has a huge hill in his yard and he took us up this thing... we came down practically sideways and that thing handled it no problem. Mud, no problem.... basically, nothing could stop it. He wanted to give us one but we decided against it. I mean honestly, what would we do with one of those things??

hehe, yeah, it would have been cool.. but very very impractical... so didn't make sense to take one. Plus, it wasn't as new as the one in the pics.

When we said no to that he offered us a Mercedes Gelaendewagen... better known as a G-Wagon, or G500, for not a lot of money at all. Not sure about that and it would probably be an older one (even though their style hasn't changed much in over a decade, not sure if it's worth getting one that will keep needing repairs down the road).... so we just told him if he's feeling generous, to just give us some money. That was 2 years ago and no money yet hehe... but we wouldn't take it anyway.

These are a blast to drive. You should see the look on some of the guys' faces when they look up and see a girl driving one. I think my bf lets me drive his L to get a good laugh.

Unless you own a logging company or some other heavy construction business, it doesn't make much sense, but you know boys with their toys

I remember hearing stories about a local Unimog pulling people out after the blizzard of 1978 :killer:
