Thats a professional custom hollywood camera car. And the camera being used is an ARRI 435. Full remote head. remote crane...etc etc etc.

That porcshe is probably done by the same guys who made a similar camera car out of a merc ML500.

Whats awesome is how they made it flat black, with black rims, and it has black cloth head/tailight covers and black netting for the windows to help hide refletions when being used to shoot other cars.

The shit these guys do is amazing. I have a friend who worked on a show that used the merc version, and Ive seen it at some pro gear expos. badass stuff. didnt know they had a new one. seen another version by another company done with a hummer.

There are also special camera cars. that are basically open vehicles with tons of tubing around with an exposed camera and crew.

These crane cars are becoming more popular because of the tons of options they give you.

btw...if you look at the pics the front passenger seat is for the camera operator, it has the hot head wheels for the remote geear head. the back is for the crane operator, and the first AC will pull focus either from the other seat in back or from a special made seating rig in the tailgate....i know thats how that part is in the merc.

Those things usually arent employed on features. They are generally used more in teh commercial/music video arena.

I'm willing to bet they are recent because I didn't see it in June at the annual cinegear expo.
