Had a 335i coupe for a week, and then this beauty (loaner cars):

It's such a blast to drive with the top down. Fully loaded 2011 Z4 (60K sticker) with only 1500 miles on it.

I had bubbles develop in the RFT tires. I have wheel insurance though and the tires are on national backorder.
It's a huge PITA and everyone on the bimmerforums are
complaining about the huge fail on BMW using those specific runflats.

for awhile, all i wanted was a z4. i came very close to pulling the trigger on a 2008 Z4 3.0si 6 months ago. Docs in hand and everything. The ride wasnt exhilarating by any means though. and there are no creature comforts really. its as basic as could be.
You could pick up mint 2008 CPOs for 26-29k...esp. in the northeast...which is a hell of a better deal than 60k+ on a new one. but then again, theres a huge discrepancy in what the two different gens offer.
P.S., the new Z4 pricing is on overload due to tech packages. its answers the question that nobody asked...a 60k vert that doesnt have the driving style of other comparably priced verts. sales confirm this...last time i checked, it was the second worse selling car - relative to its expectations.

82% residual 24mo at 10000miles/yr. One guy talked about his deal - no cash, less than 400$/month for a Z4 sdrive35is.
I would prefer a Boxster but they are nowhere these rates.

no cash at <400 mo on a sdrive35is?? no way. its bad - its not that bad. if the car was selling well, those rates would be exceeding 700/mo same terms.
I love the looks of the Z4, but holy shit they cost as much as a Boxster does?
as in, an sDrive35isfkljas costs as much as a Boxster S?
To mix it up even more, the last reviews I watched/read of this current gen Z4 were mixed. Sounded more like a small droptop cruiser than a sporty roadster a la Boxster. I think I'd go with the P-car if they're close enough in price.

yup, its a 60k cruiser. driving dynamics are not much different than a 335 vert.
the 08 3.0si's in manual are fun little cruisers for high 20s/low 30s. you could also get a last gen Z4M roadster with almost no miles for about $25k less than a new gen Z4sdrive.
BTW - the new Z4 interior is by far my favorite among the entire BMW lineup. the dash organization is perfect. i used to go to sleep with the brochure when i was shopping for a first gen CPO.

The only way to really understand the way P-cars drive is to drive them. Their design concept with flat 6 boxers being mounted midship or in the rear is so far different from everything else.

And how is the Camry Hybrid on the list? Those things are everywhere around here.
