Nissan Murano (SUV) is very hot !!!
I just got Nissan Murano (SUV)'s brochure in the mail...
It is very hot !!!
240 HP, all-whell drive, CVT with 7-speeds SS-mode
Exterior, it looks like a Big Toyta Matrix.
Interior (leather) looks very nice...

They all look great in pictures, but once you get up close and you cop a feel... you realize how cheap they are. That is nissans acheles heel.

wow, nice work!
Thats looks really nice with those wheels on it! What type of wheels are those? And what size do you suppose they would be the way you have them ?
... who cares about the shift gate... that's a very minor thing to be complaining about IMO. I think a lot of people are upset Acura is dropping the ball here. They'll pick it back up eventually, they had to fall behind at some point. I'll agree that nissan's interrior doesn't make me "ohhh and ahhh" when I look at it. But they are definetly getting their styling down. I might even consider that for my next truck. Depending on the price.

On the Nissan interior styling; maybe the retro look is in and although I liked it at the time, the '85 300Z look doesn't cut it today or rather for me.
The hard lines with flat aluminum (or aluminum looking) surfaces looks like it is straight from an '85 300Z. But now this same look is across the entire family of vehicles.
It also looks like an old, but wonderful Phillips amp and pre-amp that died about ten years ago. And this was a '78 model...

those trucks look soooooooo bad ass in black and with nice 22's in chrome, i think that would be THE shit.
yeah i agree 22's or 24's if you wanna go extravagent. 20's arent THAT small for trucks, i just dont like the stocks.
and on the other topic bout nissan...
wow. that looks infintley better than the pathfinder and the Murano's Inifiniti counterpart the FX45 is incredible looking also.
those rims i think are Lowenhart LD1 they come in 18 inch to 23 inch. (saw a set of 19 or 20 on a white S600, anyone else think that a set of 18's would look tight on a white CL?)
With all the change going on when will they redesign the Maxima? i heard a few rumors at the dealer that b/c the altima is selling sooo well (3.5 SE of course) a little bit of a redesign is in the works. and i would imagine a HP bump would be appropriate b/c the 3.5 SE Altima and the SE Maxima are too close in HP and interior size to be priced so differently. in essence they have 2 cars and one is taking ALOT of the other's customers because they almost compete with each other.
oi that was long.

The Murano will be competing with the Lexus RX300 and the like. It will be priced accordingly (expect mid to high 30's).
The 2003 Maxima's will be hitting the showrooms in June. 2003 will be a short production model. New models (2004) are due out in spring of 2003. Due to the popularity of the Altima 3.5, the Maxima will definately be getting a change. I have heard 2 schools of thought on this:
#1: The Maxima will get some minor sheetmetal work done, keep the same engine (3.5L w/255 HP or the 260 that's in the G35) and some interior styling changes.
#2: To keep prices of the Altima and Maxima apart, Nissan is considering basing the new Maxima on the Infiniti Q45.
Personally, they should go with #1. No one will pay $40K for a Nissan.
I'll try to keep everyone up to speed with info as it becomes available.
