Actually was impressed - in regular drive mode it was pretty peppy and just drove like a regular car - only difference was no engine noise.

Just leased one for my wife as a 3rd vehicle. A very impressive car for what you get and it has some decent pep in normal mode. I drove the car mistakenly in ECO mode and was not impressed- turn that off and it's a different car. We're getting about 80 miles per charge and it's fully charged overnight on 110V power now. I'll get a Blink 220V home charger that should allow this car to replace 80% of our Honda Pilot's duties- nice to have that 5 passenger capacity at times which I couldn't do with a Volt.
I guess it could have been worse- I could have started a new thread on this subject instead of searching and finding one that pre-existed.
I was pretty down on this idea of going with a Leaf too, but have to say it's been a pleasant surprise. We've put 300 miles on the car in one week and it might have costs us like $10 in electricity. That would have been $80 for a 15MPG Honda Pilot. You do that 4 weeks a month and that $240/month lease payment is easily paid with savings in gas. You can thus keep your performance car to get you yahoos out but still have an economical car too. It's been also kind of fun flooring it against the more pedestrian but plentiful vehicles and pulling on them with that instant torque that exceeds a TSX's.

It's a nice car, I thought I'd point out a few things.
1) It is effectively the same as a Mitsu Miev (Nissan Leaf, is a Miev for all intensive purposes) and
2)the Miev, costs roughly $6k less. Now I know what you're going to say, but Myx, it looks like a grasshopper and doesn't feel like as substantial a car... but $6k. Don't worry I used to sell both cars, but got out of that game. They are both good golf carts

The Miev is similar in that it's electric and small, but there are some vast differences between the two cars besides price: size, 5 .vs. 4 passengers, range, and PERFORMANCE.
The Mitsu website is out of date on the pricing on the Leaf since the baseline S model is priced at 29k now and has more features than the Mitsu in many ways: IPod integration and Bluetooth integration. The deal-breaker for me is the 4 passenger limit and little cargo space. The Mitsu comparison page is kind of a joke on it's data on the Leaf- I like the 'Radio - Not Available' and 'Halogen Headlights' comparison when the Leaf has LED lowbeams. The iMiEV does beat the Leaf on lighter Curb Weight though.

okay, looked at the pricing structure, Nissan makes more sense. When I stopped selling cars, the Leaf was just getting on the road and Mitsu was hyping us up for the Miev. Said it would be cheaper, much cheaper than the leaf. Obviously that's not the case. I'm trying to just compare cars, but I must say Mitsu was horrible to work for, their whole marketing strategy is just badly implemented. In fact my old dealership is closing, they just don't sell(any Mitsu's).... I'll shut up, I'm rambling at this point... they sucked
^ Yes the marketing is suspect for Mitsubishi. That web site they have comparing the two cars is a joke.
We have put about 500 miles on the Leaf and the biggest thing I miss when driving it is the missing Homelink feature in the S model- I'm always reaching for those buttons like I'm in the TL. I miss the TL power and sunroof as well I guess.

Thanks for the info! We're just leasing this Leaf so I'm now use to having the transmitter on the visor.
Perhaps it's still that new car honeymoon period, but I have been very impressed with this Leaf! We drove the car 90 miles on Saturday alone and never even started our two ICE cars this weekend. My wife took the car to a dealership to charge for free while shopping. The car came home with 45 miles left on the battery when she left with 18 mile range after I took it down to San Diego. I blew away another unsuspecting Honda Accord 4cyl this morning at a light and then later an F-150 pickup- it's zippy to 60 anyway.
