looks stupid, if you have to take your hand off the shift knob and glance down to check and inform yourself that you are in the proper gear you should not be driving stick shift.

The last gen M5 had a back lit shift knob which was very nice.

this mod won't help you in anyway, it's just for display purposes... it's not rice IMO.

Just because lights and digital displays can be built into just about anything these days, doesn't mean they should!

Totally rice, IMO. Looks like it's made of cheap plastic, too.

BTW, it's an LCD display, not LED.

Does it play music when you overrev the motor and blow the engine because you were too distracted by the display??
