Nicky Pass has a new respect for Honda!

As in my previous thread....my check engine light came on. I went to AutoZone and pulled the code and its the EGR valve. My friend works at a Honda dealer...Honda offered an emission warranty up to 150K miles, and mhe ran my VIN and my car qualified for the warranty. My 1996 Accord with 105K miles goes to the dealer on Wednesday to get the EGR Valve, and few other emission things fixed, and he thinks I can get an injector cleaning and tune up...under warranty!

....Thank you Honda!

Told ya!! Glad you got the car fixed for free. My car will be going into Acura for a tune-up. And this time, I'll be sure to ask for a free loaner.

I would say you may have to change an axle-boot within the next 105k miles and thats all.

Heh...actually, I think they have to because they didn't meet the government's OBDII requirements. That is why Honda, and some other companies, are required to extend their emissions warranty.

Companies don't do these things for fun, there is most likely something ultimately wrong with the car. Respecting honda for it, I guess thats ur choice
