INFINITI G35
"The Infiniti G35 is a very serious car. The main mission here is to get down the road as quickly as possible... The G35's list of convenience and safety features isn't long. Nor is refinement the strong suit of the interior. And yet the G35 charms us endlessly... The V-6 dominates the car's personality, and it transforms every drive...although further suspension refinement would be welcome.
BOTTOM LINE: Utterly serious performance."
BMW 325i
"We found outselves searching for the hidden BMW, the secret alternative to the $38,000 3-series in which BMW dealerships seem to specialize. ...the 325i. All the elaborate options have been stripped away, and you're left with the simple things that make a BMW unique. There's the in-line six-cylinder engine, strut-type front suspension, and a great steering wheel in your hands. ...The driving position is first rate. This is the best steering feel in the business. The throttle action is linear and natural. It's the way BMW refines the details that makes this a great driver's car.
BOTTOM LINE: Stripped down to the soul of BMW."
ACURA TSX
"Value and utility are important messages here, with all the goodies included except for the navigation system. And yet everyone stepped out of this car with a look of delight on his face. ...The six-speed manual transmission shifts very cleanly. Finally, Honda has paid careful attention to the human factors of the driving position... On the road, there's never any doubt that this is a front-wheel drive car...yet once you flick off the vehicle stability control, the TSX displays the perfectly controllable lift-throttle oversteer that makes driving at the limit so entertaining... Add up value, a sensible passenger package, and rewarding dynamics, and you've got a great car in any price category.
BOTTOM LINE: The best synthesis of luxury, sport, and value out there right now."

OK let's see:
G35C:
0-60 MPH: 5.6s (4.78m/s^2)
60-100 MPH: 8.7s (2.05 m/s^2)
1/4 mile: 14.3@100 MPH (3.125m/s^2)
My CLS:
0-76.37 MPH: 9.498s (3.59 m/s^2)
76.37-95.75 MPH: 5.157s (1.68 m/s^2)
1/4 mile: 14.655@95.75 (2.92 m/s^2)
Now 3.125/2.92 = 1.07 or the G35C is 7% more powerful, quicker....etc..

The only department I could think of TSX beating everyone is its interior.
It is not the fastest.
It is not the best handling.
It is not the quietest.
It doesn't have the most comfortable ride.
It is not the cheapest.
It is not the biggest.
It is not the lightest.
It is not the most prestigious.
It might not be the most reliable.
It doesn't have the highest resale value.
It might not be the best looking.
It does have the best interior in my opinion though.

That is the dumbest comparo ever. I mean, they mixed everything together. Quite frankly, if the EVO won, it would have been focked up, if the G35 won, it would have been focked up. Too many different cars. All out like the EVO to sports sedans like the G35 to sporty cars like the TSX to Whales like the Maxima.
A very challenging article to write and pick a winner. I guess the TSX won on the "value" equation.

i don't think it's a POS. i just think it costs too much.
Actually, i think i would rather the new accord v6...interior of the tsx and AV6 looks similar, but the V6 is way better!!
btw, i thought this comparison was on "sport" sedans...wat's sporty about the TSX?
that comparison should be voided IMO.

The TSX isn't my favorite car but far from a piece of shit.
I'm tired of everybody sucking the G35's ass on this forum as this is ACURA-CL.COM not G35.COM!
Nissan's have always been fast but poorly constructed compared to Honda products not to mention a horrible resale value by comparison.
I wouldn't drive a Nissan if you gave me one, I give a shit how fast it is and this car comparison wasn't based soley on 0 to 60 and the quater mile.

I'm glad you enjoy you're Nissan, I just get sick of hearing about them on the forum.

I don't know about "AutoMag" but the most recent issue of "CAR and Passenger" rated the BMW first, the Infiniti second then something else, then a Ford Focus, then a Chevy Cavalier, and then finally the TSX. Never heard of "Car and Passenger" magazine before then I never heard of "AutoMag" before either.
