Acura insiders are saying the totally new TL will be at the NY auto show in April. Looks like a bigger TSX. Has 280-300hp, brembo brakes, 6 speed, looks like a BMW 7? On sale in Aug. Voice navi and voice climate control. May have all wheel drive in 05.
Worker at the plant drove a 'parts car 04 TL' and says it will slap the CLS 6 speed's ass.

 

Where's the proof on that? What Magazine? What Website?

I am sure will not see a type-S and then, the engine will be some 280! no 300HP on FWD... forget it and torque steer would more annoying ... let us see ... will there be a VSA on the 6-speed?

and this year no AWD... next year with some 300+ HP AWD 6-speed or better yet 6-SMG... I will be trading my CLS!

 

i find this hard to beileve. I mean shit most of us see some kind of real photo of cars a good 2 months before any car show debut

 

The kick would be if it is a concept. It would be shown and not the final production... They can say TL with 300 HP and AWD bla bla .... and still a concept and no production version or spec...

we NEVER see Acura's in spy shots BEFORE their debuted. the only exception is sometimes when their a japanese market car as well.


i believe well see it. all my other predictions have been spot on.

yeah... maybbe peak HP is over 300.. But we saw only Torque go from 175lbft to to 190 which is less than 10% more... so we are doing maybe 255 lbft of Torque with full bolt-ons.

 

We'll wait and see.....Acura is way to conservative!

 

May be it will have a dohc VTEC-i V6 engine?

That's partly why the CL was dropped Friday. poor sales and the transmission replacement cost was killing any profits on the car.
The new TL will be all new, supposedly, not the same tranny.
I too, hope Acura/Honda does more to quality control their cars, but this is at the trade-off of keeping the prices low.
