My father has the RE505A on his sport package 330i and those tires handle well so I went ahead and ordered the regular (non-RFT) pole position for my car. I think it was a great deal. $131 per tire +$45 shipping, no tax, and a $100 mail in American Express card.

Three Wheelin'
I can HIGHLY recommend Bridgestone's RE050 series (NON runflat). Its what I've got on my S2000.
Let's just say that after a few track days, autox's, and 17000 miles of driving, these tires are still holding up!
They grip decently, and don't get greasy too quick. However, like any summer compound, their effectiveness diminishes in the cold.
From what I've heard the RE050 Pole Position, is a step and is even better. This will definitely be my next tire.
The Michelin PS2, which is OEM equipment on my uncle's TT roadster, is also a great summer tire, that sticks like glue when warmed up, but it costs a bit more. The advantages of the PS2 would be a slightly softer sidewall that gives (IMO) a *slightly* smoother ride without compromising reflexes, although I think that the RE050s reponses might be *slightly* sharper. The PS2s are also more communicative at the limit. When the RE050s let go, they usually do so without warning, and I feel the PS2 might offer a bit more feedback right upto that limit. Again this is just my small opinion, and its difficult to conclusively determine the characteristics of these tires without installing them on the same vehicle.
Additionally, my uncle has actually "safely" used these tires in very light snow! The RE050's are useless in any kind of snow. But the bottom line is - get winter tires in the winter!
