New pics of the beast

Took a little camping trip with some fellow Vipers and had some new pics of the beast taken.

We were bored and played with a flashlight

And some pics of/with my buddy Ryan and his Gen 1

Hahaha, I like the VW commercial better-compensating for my short-comings

I love the motion shots, but just didn't get a good one of mine unfortunatley (I was going too fast ). Some more shots from my phone:

And a bigger version of my new avatar

The lighting was just perfect when I took these pictures. I just wish that I had my damn camera.

When it comes down to it, as long as I don't scrape (the biggest concern), I will take it on just about any road. In the end, it is just a car. I am paying for it, why the hell not enjoy it?

2001-first year with ABS, and second to last year before the remodel.

As it sits, it has a tick over 27k miles on it I bought it with just over 9k miles December 27th last year. Can you tell I love driving it?!

Hahaha, not yet. And did you hear it with the headers on or not? If not, it is even louder and has more bass to it now

Let's just say that it shakes my house when I start it up in the garage

I don't mean to sound snobby at all, but I don't really do the whole tent in the woods type camping. Never was a true outdoorsy type-I love hiking around etc., but also love a nice comfortable bed at the end of the night.

It's cool. I love camping, and none of that paid campground stuff either. I'm all about 4-wheeling it back into the middle of nowhere and setting up the tent, fire, and beer cooler.

Does that gen have problems with the diff. and transmission? My buddy had an 04 SRT10 Viper and had problems with both. I guess it's pretty common.

Hmmm, never heard about that at all. In fact, the diff and tranny are superb on all gen cars. The only weak link in the system is the half shafts, and you only start worrying about those after some serious power adders.

Your friend must have had a "friday car."

Nope, in fact, I stopped using the bra because the dust and little stones would come through the mesh and sit under the bra, causing even more damage than not having one!

I just polish the crap out of it, and clean the bugs off immediatley after they hit. Mind you, it is not perfect, and there are some tiny chips. I have clear bra on the hood, but have not found someone I trust to do the bumper.

It's actually a Blue and Silver car. The Blue and Whites are a more rare breed, as they were the introductory color for the new coupe, badged as First Editions. Still a cool car though. You can pick one up real cheap these days-I almost traded mine in, but couldn't get over the new body style-just doesn't do it for me.

Credit to Mike for all of the pictures.

He's on the Viper forums and it's common. The dealer he took it too even said it was a common problem.
