A new mod- Variable Ride Height Kit
A very crappy video from my P&S camera...but you get the point. Watch the front portion of the car for the full effect.

Some teaser pics until I can get some good videos and pics...pardon the dust and mess.
Some ppl may be thinking this is an "airbag system." Actually, it's much more simpler, lightweight, and appealing to sportier cars. An aluminum piston is attached to each coil with air lines connected to a tank in the trunk. The buttons raise/lower the front and rear. The nice thing about this kit is that it weighs only 20-30lbs and custom built for each customer. The vendor actually sent me revised font springs for extra clearance and the ability to lower the car more. Thanks to Project X Customs who did the install for me and Umbrella Auto Design for building this bad boy.

So this is basically to clear speed bumps? This looks similar to what the Murcielago has for that purpose.
Are you going to retint your NSX? It would look quite a bit nicer with darker tint, imo.

That's sick...
Also the reason is so you can set your car on the ground when you park so it looks bad ass and is wheel theft prevention or when you're on some clean ass roads.
It's hard to steal things when you can't get jacks under them and the wheels are tucked in =)
Synth... what is your new range of motion can you actually take it higher than what you had it?

Airbags are completely different then this system. Once you go with 'bags, you lose quite a bit of the performance. They are very heavy and completly alters your suspension. The VRH kit I purchased loses nothing. You still have full control of stiffness/height. In the collapsed state (set ride height), the VRH kit will not affect the handling of the car whatsoever as it acts merely as a metal spacer. When you hit the buttons, the valves air is sent to the piston and the vehicle can be raised to help navigate steep driveways, towtruck beds, speed bumps etc. The other cool thing about this kit vs. an airbag system is that the VRH kit is total plug and play(direct bolt in) and requires no modifications to the nsx chassis. This was a no brainer and I love being low. Now I can drive anywhere and not stress out about clearing ramps, etc. You can't put a price on piece of mind.

^ I'm sorry for the off topic, but I find your avatar extremely offensive. I'm all for freedom of speech/expression, but photoshopping Hitler and Obama together, is over the line.
Back on topic...
Really nice work with the NSX, I'm sure the money for the ride height system is worth the piece of mind. Your previous 350Z was outstanding as well...

Sorry, but I don't see the point either. $300 maybe, but $3,000? There's a ton of things I'd rather do with that money on my car alone....
It would be interesting to see whether or not alignment angles are affected by lowering and raising the car like that. I'd keep an eye on my tires if I were you

^ The list price is listed, I'll leave it @ that. If anyone is seriously interested, talk to the vendor and I'm sure he can work something out with you.

I think it's worth it if you have the money. Bags cost $4K+.

As long as you have a coilovers, I don't see why not. He has a full list of applications on his website.

Awesome, cup kits are SUCH a great help! One of my friends has it too, but his drops and raises instantly because the hoses are huge on it.
Be sure to drain your tank every 6 months or so. Water builds up inside, which is not good.
