New M5 for sale at local dealership

I went to a local BMW dealership to get something looked at and saw the new M5 right in front of the entrance. This is the first one that I've seen in person. I asked the sales guy about the waiting list and he said that some guy who was on the waiting list backed out. Now they have an M5 in stock that's for sale. A lot better than waiting 2 years. He asked me if I was interested Going for about $100K. It looked like it had tinted windows...

Took some (horrible) shots with my cellphone as I was driving off.

No, I was so mad that I forgot my wallet at home

Man, I would have paid the guy to take that thing for a test drive. I mean I don't like the E60s, but an M5 is an M5

You should have bought it then sold it, people would be willing to pay to jump up on the waiting list

Really? For sale? I guess that "waiting list" is BS then.

I have an M6 on order for a customer of mine....We can't specify anything for the car yet though...I have no clue how much it's going to cost, or when it'll be available. I know that it will be at least $110k as the starting price before optioning it out. I put the order through 2 months ago. I think i'll be able to get more of a clear idea of when we'll see it once we get into January '06..

Contrary to popular belief. There is no wait list for M5. In fact if you do your home work you can find one at MSRP at ease right now.

Just don't look in CA. BMW has come out firing on all cylindar this time around, so there are a lot more allocation to the dealer this time around.

I would rather get the 7 series, Loaded, for that price.

On the other hand, how many stock BMWs do you know of that are faster than the new M5?
