New Lexus LS and IS
Is it me, or does the front end of the illustration of the IS(I think) look like it was designed by Acura? The grille looks like the RL's, while the bumper looks like the TL's. That rear shot looks like something off a Buick.

100%
Need an ass shot to pass judgement on the IS. The LS looks promising, but I need to see the rump of it. I agree with you MADCAT, Acura is leading the way in terms of styling.

the rear shot is of another car... come on guys do you really think a brand new IS concept would have this baff-looking color?
it looks like the olddd ES to me.
the LS looks pretty good, i got to admit.

LS looks like a Altima/Maxima front end with a BMW 7-series rear end, but need to see a better picture before passing judgment. I think I've seen the pic of the IS floating around for a while now, I kinda like it, looks about the size of a TSX.

Acura beat Lexus to the family-resemblance thing. For a while, none of the Japanese brands had a family look (e.g, Chevy's got the bowtie, BMW has the kidney grille, etc); then Acura started making the 5-point grille and the crease down the middle of the hood as the Acura look (no Mazda didn't have it first). Infiniti now uses that big half-barrel grille, so they caught on to the family-resemblance thing too. But Lexus has still not established a consistent grille look for its cars.
Agreed. But other car makers have woken up to the fact that Acura Styling (aka former designers of Alfa Romeo) is leading the way.
