Hideous, looks like a Camry/Mercury Sable combo....the interior is nice, the headlight housings are half the size of the hood.

I'll pass...there is plenty of other shit to buy for $35k .

Over 37k as tested in the brand new Motor Trend. And you get 0-60 in 8.18. Can you say TL-S, CL-S !

The old ES300 was a snooze to drive and a snooze to look at.

From the quoted performance figures of the new ES it sounds like it's still a snooze to drive, but it's definitely more interesting to look at.

I approve of the interior but can't decide about the exterior.

 

Our sunroof sucks....it's small..and it rattles

 

true...but mine doesnt rattle...

oh, and add the moonroof visor like i did, and the sunroof is even smaller..

 

dont like it at all, taurus front with a corolla rear end. horribel design . the interior looks good though . but for $37K I would buy something else , TL-S and pocket the 4 or 5 K .

i think the current es is slower with it's 4spd auto.

 

I think it looks good, better than the original. But I agree thet is is very slow. No HP improvement over the original - not good.

I think an IS300 is better than this ES300. IS300 is a good 4 door family car.

 

I am guessing that Lexus will follow Acura's, Mercedes' and BMW's lead and come out with the rumored L models which will be the high performance model of the lineup. Like a massaged 3 liter enine making 240HP or something to that. This engine makes less power even than my RX300 which wears the same engine making 220HP. I wonder where the detune happened.

 

is it just me or does the front of this car look like something just scared the living shit out of it? I see they brought the old Pasao (is that how you spell it?) taillights back. if they intend for that to compete with my CL-S or more likely the TL-S I'm insulted. that's like a swift kick to the sack.
